I shoot him a glare and he just laughs softly before looking back up at the night sky.
"When are you coming home?" Louis asks quietly.
"I'm not sure, why?" I ask.
"I need to talk to you." he says, his voice small. He sounds nervous, afraid even.
"Alright I'll be home soon," I say before hanging up.
"I have to go home," I say.
"Why? It's not like Louis is your dad," Harry mutters.
"I know, but something's bothering him." I say. Harry stands and holds his hand out. I grab it and he pulls me up and we make our way downstairs.
We both get in the car quickly to avoid to much exposure to the chilly night air.
"Did that make up for it?" he asks as he pulls out of his driveway.
"Definitely," I chuckle. We converse lightly until we reach my house.
"If you need anything just call me." he says. I nod and smile.
"Alright bye, love." he says.
"Bye," I get out if the car and hurry up the steps and into the house to find Louis, his face bruised.
"What happened?" I gasp as I rush over to him.
"I got in a fight," he says shortly.
"You look terrible," I pout, running my fingers along the side of his face. I pull away when I realize what I'm doing.
"You should've seen the other guys," he says with a slight smile.
"Guys?" I emphasize.
"Yeah, those three jerks on the soccer team." he explains.
"Why? What were you fighting about?" I ask.
"Nothing." he looks away. I decide not to push it.
I clean him up and we sit on his bed in his room. He seems... Distant.
"You should get some sleep." I say to him. He shakes his head in response.
"Why?" I cock my head.
"The... Night terrors are back." he says so quiet I can hardly hear.
"Why?" no response. "What are they even about anyway?" I ask.
He looks away from me and runs his fingers through his hair with a sigh.
"Lou,"
"Fine, I'll tell you." he groans. I nod and grab his hands in mine. He looks at our hands then back at me.
"Well you remember the last time I had a night terror?" He begins.
"Yeah it was like 4 months ago." I say. When I slowly begin to realize it. That was the last time I had a boyfriend.
"That was the last time I had a boyfriend..." I say. He looks away at our hands, still intertwined.
"The night terrors- They're about,"
LOUIS POV:
"They're about me leaving you..." She sums up. I groan and nod, not looking up at her.
"Pretty much. Some are worse then others."
She lifts one of her hands and places it on my cheek so I'm looking back up at her. She gently rubs her thumb along my jawline.
"Louis," she coos softly. "I'm never leaving you," she says.
I nod slowly. She lays down on my bed and pats next to her with a playful grin. I lay with her and she wriggles under the blankets and smiles at me. I give her a soft grin back. One of her hands grabs my arm and pulls it over her. I wrap it around her protectively before falling asleep to Darsey's soft breathing.
And for the first night in weeks I actually slept.
