Darsey's pov:
Harry's acted kind of strange this whole day. He started off seeming agitated and got pissed when I ask about his bloody knuckles. Then he just became quiet all around when we went to lunch; and now he's being oddly playful.
"What are you doing?" I ask as he gets up from our position on the couch and walks toward the front door.
"Did you not hear a knock?" he asked and I cock my head.
"No," I say as he opens it. All I hear is him curse under his breath before a loud greeting.
"Harry!"
I lean back to peer around the corner to see an unfamiliar couple standing at the door.
I have to say, the women looks an awful lot like...
Harry.
His parents? Why are they here? I don't know much about them besides the fact that Harry can't stand them and they don't leave him alone, granted I'm only hearing Harry's negative side of the story.
When he hardly replies they walk in and Harry looks at me, obviously as caught off guard as I am.
His mother pauses when she sees me and she gasps.
"You must be Daisy!" she squealed.
"It's Darsey." Harry interjects plainly.
I smile and stand up, expecting a handshake but instead get a warm hug from his mother and father. Harry flashes me an apologetic look before returning to his stern glare.
"It's so nice to finally meet you, darling." Her smile is almost identical to Harry's.
"It's nice to meet you too." I say politely.
"I'm Charlotte and this is Thomas. We're Harry's parents, of course." She introduces themselves and I open my mouth to speak when Harry cuts me off.
"Why are you here?" he asks, no sense of any friendliness at all.
"We just wanted to check in on you as bring cookies!" Charlotte smiled.
How on Earth is this wonderful, happy woman the mother of Harry, who hardly shows any emotion other then when he's just with me?
"You didn't-"
"That's very nice of you." I cut in, shooting Harry a warning glance to be respectful. He discretely flips me off but a small chuckle follows it.
"Harry, why don't you go help your father bring them in." She asks and he groans before making his way out the door.
"It's so nice to finally meet you." Charlotte says to me.
"Same to you." I return the compliment.
"I've heard so much about you, Darsey. Harry doesn't talk to us often but recently he seemed to be coming around a bit more, I guess I have you to thank for that."
"Oh, well you're welcome, I guess." I laugh and she joins me. How could I be helping him in that way? I didn't notice anything different about the way he'd been acting to others at all, really.
"You know, you're the only girl he's dated that has changed him for the better, even if it's only a small, simple change. He doesn't waver in his beliefs for anyone." she explains thoughtfully.
"I'm glad to hear that I've had a positive impact on him. He's just-" I stop talking when he walks in and looks at us curiously, carrying a basket of treats, his father close behind with a second.
"You didn't have to make so much." Harry said, trying his best to be even the slightest bit nice.
"Well," she pauses for a moment and seems to choke up.
"Well what?"
"Son, we're here to tell you that Belle is moving. We wanted to lay it on you easily. We'll be going with her as well."
"What?" Harry's mouth drops.
"She couldn't make it here to tell you, but we leave in 2 weeks back to England." His father speaks quietly.
"Since when?" he asks.
"We've been planning for about two months. We didn't know how to tell you." Charlotte speaks slowly, preparing for the bomb that is Harry to explode.
"You could have just told me. It's not like I care." Harry hisses before turning and thudding up the stairs, hiding away as he always does when he faces a problem. Now it's my turn to go and fix it.
