HARRY'S POV:

I wake up to a bird chirping at my window. I groan and throw a pencil that was sitting on the desk next to my bed at it. I miss completely. I frown and get up to shut the window. I find my phone on the ground and pick it up and see multiple texts from Carly. I roll my eyes.

*Harry I haven't seen you in forever!*

*Harry I miss you!*

*We should get together some time(;*

I swear this girl is insane. We didn't even go out, but she thought we did I guess. I have a kind of girlfriend right now, but no one but Niall, Liam, and Zayn and Darsey know. I don't even think Louis does. And he doesn't need to.

I choose not to reply to her several messages and instead get dressed. When I slide my phone in the pocket of my black skinny jeans it vibrates again, luckily it's Niall.

*Want to come to the mall with me, Zayn, Liam, and Louis?*

I reply quickly asking if Darsey was going, although that probably wasn't the best idea. I can't seem attached to her.

*We wanted you to ask her*

His reply makes me grin. I like the way they recognize Darsey is mine. No she's not mine... I'm forced to be forever alone. I think I keep feeling as though I can protect Darsey, and I can. But James is more powerful then I give him credit for. Sure I can easily pound him into the ground, but I can't beat up his gang friends as easily.

I text Darsey before thudding down the stairs to find Belle standing at the counter. I thought she'd be gone already.

"I thought you'd never wake up," she smirks. I roll my eyes and open the fridge.

"What time did your girlfriend leave last night?" she asks. "Or is she still here?"

"She's not my girlfriend!" I snap.

"Looks like it to me," she runs her fingers through her long aqua hair.

"You don't deserve her, you know." she says after a few moments of silence.

I don't answer because I know she's right.

"You hardly know her," I say.

"I don't need to know her to know that she's a good girl with good intentions. You on the other hand are a dark bad boy that messes pretty little girls like her up."

She's right again. "What are you getting at?" I shut the fridge and turn to her.

"Your past three girlfriends have started as goody two shoes and ended up as wasted whores." she points out.

"I didn't do that to them." yes I did.

"I'm just saying, she is oblivious to you and your personality. And oblivious to your past. You haven't even told her about the Circle have you?" she rambles on.

"No, and I don't need to. It doesnt matter. James can't do anything about it."

"He threatened to kill your next girlfriend," he says.

"Darsey isn't my girlfriend is she?" I point out. She runs her finger along her eye with a sigh, careful not to smudge the thick black eyeliner.

"How long have you even known her?" she asks.

"Few months," I get myself a drink of water as my phone vibrates. Im pleased when I see the name 'Darsey Sear' light up on my screen. She accepted my invitation gladly and I find myself grinning slightly.

"That's her isn't it?" Belle chimes.

"Yeah," I quickly wipe the grin off my face and take a drink of my water.

"Why are you here anyway?" I ask.

"What, I can't come visit my brother without a reason?" she cocks her head.

I just stare at her flatly until she gives in.

"Mom and dad are making me, okay?" she says.

"Why? It's not like they care about me." I snap. "You've always been the favorite."

"Yes they do. Theyre worried for you," she says. What a lie.

"If they were 'worried for me'," I immaturely use finger quotes. "then why did they decide to leave out the fact that I'm adopted until last year? And how come they never bothered to call me when my last six relationships fell through? And how come they never payed attention to me? They suddenly decide to 'care' about me and try to control my life and think everything's ok? Well it's not. And it never will be." I ramble on senselessly.

"Just hear them out. They know whats best for you." She tries to speak but I shut her down.

"Oh, so you're taking their side?" I sneer

"There is no sides! We're a family!" she retorts.

"Well not a good one," I raise my eyebrows before spinning around and charging into my car.
