"No," I say too quickly. "we're friends but not more then that." I'm such a liar. I hate it.
"Oh, alright then." he nods, flashing a light smile.

"I'm going to go get Starbucks or something. I'm craving it super bad," I remark, standing up from my spot on the couch, Louis falling sleep next to me.
"Okay," he mutters sleepily.
I get up and grab my keys before making my way through the garage of Louis' cars and to my own. I start up the engine and back out, heading towards the closest Starbucks in a nearby strip mall.
As I park and get out of the car and scan the seemingly empty area. I walk along the side of the end building when I skid to a halt at the sight of a gut wrenchingly familiar face.
"Remember me?" He cocks his head with a devilish smirk.
I try to find the words to say but nothing falls from my gaping mouth but shaky breaths.
"Judging by the look on your face, I presume I am correct?" the horrifyingly familiar thick English accent sends shivers through every bone in my body.
"J-James." I stutter, trying to seem confident.
"You do remember. Good, that will make this much easier now, won't it?"
"Make what easier?" I ask slowly. As he begins to speak I try and call Harry without being noticed, but instead he grabs my wrist and bashes my phone into the wall, causing it to fall onto the ground, the call ending after only a few rings.
"Harry isn't around here for you." He steps closer and I flinch, not daring to run. "I don't know how much he has told you but I want revenge, which is obvious of course. And if you haven't figured this out yet, you are my source." he claps his hands together.
"It's in the past James. I know what he did to you was wrong-"
"Wrong? Wrong? It was worse then wrong. It was tragic, horrible, murder." His words are laced with venom as he inches closer and closer. "I deserve this. I deserve revenge!" he heaves. I'm speechless. Completely terrified.
My phone goes off and James looks at it and picks it up before handing it to me.
Harry's pov:
"Hi Harry," her voice is wavering slightly.
"What's wrong?" I ask her immediately.
There's a delay before she answers softly, "Nothing, I didn't mean to call you."
"Okay, love." I'm a little puzzled at what is happening; all I know is that it's out of the ordinary.
"Love you, Harry." the words come out slowly and I can't help but notice a tone of sadness.
"You don't sound okay." I say concernedly.
"I am," she says quickly. "I need to go. I love you," she says, her words sounding more meaningful them usual.
"I love you," I reply just before the call is ended.

I park in front of Darsey's house and text her to inform her that I'm out front. She appears seconds later, walking towards the car. I hurry out and hug her, planting a kiss on her cheek.
"Hi," a bright smile lights up her face, followed by a wince.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"I tripped," she says with a shrug. "Just sore."
I frown and kiss her forehead. "Don't do that." she laughs lightly and I open her door before getting in the drivers side.
I glance over at her as I start up the engine and notice her collar bone bruised.
"Darsey, you can't bruise your collar bone from tripping without bruising your face."
She pauses for a moment and opens her mouth to speak but no words come out.
"What really happened?" I question her, my pulse quickening.
"I saw James," she admits after a few short seconds of hesitation.
"And he hurt you?" I say through my teeth.
"I wasn't supposed to let you find out. He told me not to tell you or else-"
"Or else what?"
"Or he threatened to... do worse next time."
"Next time?" Who does he think he is trying to beat my girl up? He's practically asking me to shred him. No one even looks at her without me getting upset; let alone lays a finger on her. She can read my aggressive expression with ease, no doubt.
"He's not going to give up, Harry. But he said that even if we broke up he still wants to get me. He knows how far along we've come and I fear that he has his whole plan set up." She fiddles with her fingers and I hate the nervous feeling that radiates from her.
