"Darsey do you want to come to breakfast with Niall and I?" Louis calls from downstairs.

"Sure I'll be down in a few minutes!" I call out in reply.

I throw my long brown hair into a messy bun and put on my gray Beatles tank top. Before sliding on my leggings, I pull on Louis' plaid shirt he gave me and leave it unbuttoned in the front before hurrying down the stairs and find Niall and Louis waiting.

"You look great, Darsey." Niall smiles as I hug him.

"I haven't seen you in a while," I say to him.

"It's been like a whole week!" Niall replies in a sarcastic tone with a grin.

We all go out to Niall's old fashioned red Chevy truck, and of course they squeeze me in the middle of the two seated car.

I soon found that we'd be going to a new diner that just recently opened. Apparently Niall, Zayn, and their new friend came here yesterday.

We listened to random songs on the radio, blasting them and singing at the top of our lungs.

And of course, Louis and Niall sounded amazing.

Louis stops singing for a moment and I pause.

"What?" I turn to him.

"You're good at singing," he says to me. I roll my eyes.

"Whatever," I playfully knock his

SnapBack off. He laughs as he repositions it on his messy, yet perfect, hair.

"It's true," Niall adds in.

I just grin and continue to sing along.

We pull up to the parking lot and hurry inside the vintage/cottage-like building as rain began to fall in groups. We take the seat closest to the window because Niall loves to watch the rain or something.

"It's freezing out there," I say, getting nods of agreement from both of them. Before Louis can say anything, Niall's eyes light up.

"That's the friend Zayn and I came here with yesterday," he points out the window. I turn to see who I least expected- Harry.

Louis glances at me uncomfortably.

Maybe he'll walk right past? Don't come in don't come in don't come in... And he's in. My heart almost stops when I lock eyes with him. I can see the look on his face. He's hard to read, but I know for sure that he recognizes me.

His expression softens, then quickly hardens again.

"Hey Harry," Niall greets him.

"Hey Niall," he says with a small half smile.

"What are you up to?" Niall asks.

"Just picking up; see you later." Harry says shortly. He locks eyes with me again before walking to the cashier, paying and leaving quickly with a bag in his hand, the other in his leather jacket pocket.

Louis sits in silence until Harry is out of sight.

"That's the friend you and Zayn were hanging out with?" He exclaimed. Niall nodded, not comprehending the shock in his voice.

"He was walking along the street on our way here and he didn't have anywhere to go. Apparently his parents are in town and he doesn't want them to find him." Niall says as the waiter makes his way over.

We all ordered and talked while we ate our breakfast. The food was literally the best I've ever had- I now get why Zayn and Niall wouldn't stop raving about it. Louis still made his usual sarcastic remarks while we are that made Niall and I laugh like crazy, but he seemed more distant then usual.

When we all finished, we got in Niall's car again.

"Want to go to the mall or something?" Niall asked.

"Sure," I smile.

"I'm not feeling to good; but you guys have fun." Louis says quietly. "Plus Darsey and I just went there yesterday," he adds.

I look over at him with a concerned look in my eyes. He gave me a slight smile to reassure me that he was okay but I don't believe it.

Niall drops him off at our house and we drive to the mall, Niall telling me that he'll get a couple friends to join us as well.

"What does Louis have against Harry?" Niall asks as he turned down the radio.

I shrug. "He said he played for his rival team and was a 'bad guy'." I answer with finger quotes. I don't know why I am so unaccepting of the fact that he's 'bad'. I don't even know this guy at all, why would I be defending him? Niall chuckles.

"Sure, he's not the best person ever, but he's cool. He doesn't say much but when he does it's pretty funny. You'd like him," he says as he pulls into the parking lot. I'm sure I would; my subconscious adds.

"He's meeting up with us here actually, him and Zayn should be here already."

What? Unintentionally running into this guy twice in one day. What are the freaking odds. Well I guess when you're friends with Niall who loves everyone he meets, it makes sense.

We get out of the car and make our way to the centre where we'd meet them.

"Hey love," Zayn smiles when we find them. He hugs me warmly and I enjoy the familiarity.

"This is Harry; he just recently moved here." Zayn told me.

"I'm Darsey," I smile.

"I know," he says, the edges of his lips tweaked upward. What is that supposed to mean? I roll my eyes. Not the best response he could've given. Maybe he is a jerk.

We wander around the mall for a while, and Harry talks about a total of 7 times. We walk into some skater store and Niall and Zayn both find loads of stuff they 'absolutely need'.

"We'll pay and meet you guys outside." they tell us. Harry and I walk out the doors and stand out front of the shop. I begin to shiver as rain drops begin to fall again. He adjusts his beanie on his brown curly hair then retreats his hands back in his pockets. After a few moments he leans against the wall and looks at me with a sly grin.

"So, Darsey. Why are you dating Louis?" he asks.

"I'm not dating Louis!" I reply. "We're best friends; I've lived with him for a year now," I explain. Harry nods.

"But you like each other..." he says with a smirk.

"No," I say. "It's not your business anyway," I add. Who does he think he is, meeting me one day then suddenly asking me about my love life?

"I doubt he feels the same way." he replies shortly, ignoring my snappy remark. I roll my eyes.

"You think you know everything." I huff under my breath.

"Thats the kind of thing Louis would do. Get a hot girl to live with him then never make a move. He's lame." he mutters.

Was that a compliment? I feel butterflies in my stomach. No. No butterflies- this guy is a jerk.

You know you like it... My subconscious inputs. I'm pretty sure I'm just desperate for a guy so my mind will take whatever it can get

"He's not lame," I come to his defense, causing Harry to chuckle and roll his eyes. I didn't have any other ideas on how to answer, but that just sounded dumb.

"Whatever," he says. I open my mouth to speak but am cut off when Niall and Zayn walk out.
