Darsey's pov:
I wake up to see moonlight seeping through the window. I see everyone casually watching the movie, a different one from before. I must've fallen asleep the rest of the last movie and the beginning of whatever this one is.
Harry's running his fingers through my hair softly, but stops every time someone looks at him as if to hide it.
I find my self smiling at the movie- whatever it is. Some sappy chic flick that you'd never guess these boys would be watching.
I watch as the characters banter back and forth about who loves each other more. I wish I had a cute relationship like that...
My last boyfriend cheated on me; and I wasn't even the one to find out. Louis saw him with some other girl. Of course, Louis beat him up without getting hardly a scratch on himself.
Was Harry right by saying maybe Louis doesn't want to be just friends?
No that's crazy... He and Eleanor just broke up like 1 month ago.
The movie ends with the couple getting married and living happily ever after (of course).
"Dars," Niall says. I sit up and look at him.
"Want me to drive you home?" he asks. I nod sleepily. He helps me up and I say bye to all the boys. Apparently they're all hanging here for the night but Niall has work tomorrow.
I lock eyes with Harry and he gives me a light smile before twisting his face into his famous smug, arrogant expression. I smile back before Niall and I make our way to his car.
"So what's up with you and Harry?" Niall asks as we pull out of Harry's small neighborhood of rich people houses.
"I honestly don't know. I thought we hated each other, then he randomly kissed me, and he's suddenly nice to me." I slowly explain.
"To be honest I don't even know what's going on." I exhale.
"He'a a cool guy, but i'd keep my distance from him if I were you."
His warning makes my heart sink. I don't want to stay away from him.
"Why?" I blurt out.
"He hasn't told us a lot about him, but we know that he's got a past with some sort of gang. He's not part of it anymore but something happened, I guess. He won't tell us what, though." He says. "All we know is that it's called the Circle," he adds, his thick irish accent standing out more then usual.
How did he even get that much information out of him?
I open my mouth to say something when I realize I'm already home.
"Thanks Niall," I say instead and I smile.
"See ya later Dars," he smiles at me . I jump out of his car and hurry up the sidewalk.
I open the door and find Louis at the counter. "Hey Louis, how was practice?" I ask as I sit next to him at the counter.
"Good," he Replies shortly.
"Are you okay?" I ask, noticing the dark look in his eyes. He sat in silence for a few moments.
"Yeah..." he looks at me. I give him the 'tell me the truth look', and he breaks.
"Fine... I'm just upset, okay? All my friends have been hanging out with the biggest jerk, and nothing I say can make them see! Just be because he says he's a better person now doesn't mean he is. He's done so many horrible things and he's such a fake son of a b-"
"Louis, calm down." I reply quietly, resting my hand on his shoulder.
"Maybe he has changed," is all I can say. In return I get a look I've never seem before. He rolls his eyes.
"People like him don't just 'change'." he snaps. "Why are you being so defensive of him anyway? I thought you hated him,"
Crap... What do I reply to that? I can't just tell him straight up but I can't lie.
"Darsey...?" he says when I don't speak.
"I'm sorry, Louis... I just wasn't expecting him to and I wasn't sure what to do. I don't know if it means anything and I know you warned me but I couldn't just pull away!" My words were coming out so fast I didn't know what I was saying. I look away from him, afraid of what he might say.
"Expecting him to what?" He asks deeply.
"He..." I cant do it. My mouth is numb. I'm trying to speak but no words are coming out. I can't do this to my best friend. Right as I open my mouth to say something more, the back door opens. We both pause and look to see Danielle, Liam's girlfriend.
"Hey, sorry if I'm interrupting anything," She say as she flips her long curly hair out of her face. I give her the best smile I can. "Hey!"
"You're not; what's up?" Louis says without looking at me.
"Well I was going to visit Liam and he's not home right now... So I was wondering if I can hang here until he gets back from where ever he is?" She asks shyly.
I nod. "Of course! You can stay in my room," I smile. "I have a pullout couch in there," I say.
She flashes a bright smile and walks in. I glance at Louis one last time as he still isn't making eye contact with me and says nothing.
I get up and walk upstairs, Danielle close behind. Once we reach my room, I walk over to my couch and pull it out. After a long while of her refusing to let me take the couch, I take my bed.
I throw her some shorts and one of Liam's shirts that he had left here a while ago, causing her to smile.
When we're both all settled for bed, it's only 11 o'clock, so we end up sitting crosslegged on my bed and eating ice cream, talking about everything.
She tells me all about her flight here from New York and how she was going to surprise Liam. I explained where he was and apparently smiled when I mentioned Harry, which led to a whole explanation about his and my 'relationship'.
Danielle has been one of my best friends and i know i can tell her anything, but i left out the whole make out part. Luckily she might actually be happy for me, unlike Louis who will probably hate me.
