Darsey's pov:

I know he saw me. Without a doubt. Did Zayn see him?

"Darsey, you coming?" I turn and see him holding the door open.

"Yeah, sorry I was just..." I trailed off when I heard the sound of the engine approach once more before stopping. I look to the left to see him getting off of his motorcycle.

"Did you invite anyone with us?" I asked Zayn, thinking that maybe he invited Harry along.

"No, why?" He asked, the confusion clear in his voice.

Seeing Harry seemed to make my suffocating pain worse. I still liked him so much but hated him at the same time.

"Who are you...?" he turns to see Harry approaching.

"Darsey, I need to talk to you," Harry says when he finally reaches us.

"Harry I don't-" Zayn begins to speak but is cut off when I speak up.

"It's okay," I say, deciding to let Harry speak.

"Just let me explain," he says.

"Okay. But not here," I say, glancing at the people around. I glance back at Zayn who seems a bit worried. "I'll be back in a few minutes." I say before walking along the sidewalk and down the back alley, Harry close behind.

"Darsey, I'm sorry." he says when we're out if sight.

No, I can't fall for another boy's stupid games. I've been played far to many times to sit back and watch it happen again.

"Sorry? Sorry for what? Sorry for how you made me like you? Sorry for how you made me believe you actually liked me? Sorry for how we were 'dating' or whatever you want to all it for 3 months then you tell me you never cared for me?" I hiss.

"You don't understand," he says.

"Oh don't I?" I fold my arms. "I've been with guys like you before. Guys who find joy in making girls fall for them, then they just play with them. I'm not going to let that happen to me again." I add, taking a step towards him.

"Did you ever think that maybe there was a reason I said I never cared for you? To protect you?" He raises his voice.

"That makes no sense." I shoot back.

He looks agitated as he debates whether or not he should yell or calm down and back off.

"I was threatened." he mutters.

"Threatened?" I repeat in an unconvinced tone.

"D*** it Darsey just listen to me!" He takes a step closer as well so he'd inches from my face.

"What do you have to say?" I reply just as boldly.

"I was threatened because a guy is trying to get back at me." he adds, gazing down at me with intense green eyes.

"For what?" I push.

"It doesn't matter. it happened a long time ago," he muttered.

"So how come your apologizing now? I'm confused," I say honestly.

He sighed. "He told me I had to break up with you or else-" He freezes, as if remembering something.

"Or else what?" I advance.

"He'd harm you." he mutters so quiet I can hardly hear.

That's a lie.

"Please believe me," he struggles to say.

"I just... I don't know." I stutter.

He looks hurt by my answer. He looks down at the ground and nods.

"I'll be waiting for an answer," he says before turning and walking away slowly, leaving me standing by myself, wondering how I got mixed up in this mess.
