A Smash Bros. Adventure (Old Version)

Chapter 12: Smash City

Nathan's POV:

We walked into Smash City. Everyone was right, it was big and crowded. There were many people there from many different games. Link, Midna, Kirby, Lucario, Eevee, and I tried to stay together. I picked up Eevee so I wouldn't loose her. After walking for a while, we stopped at an arena that was in the sky.

Link: "There it is, the Smash Arena."

Midna: "Well, what are we doing standing around here for? Let's go in."

We all headed in. We went to an elevator and went up, and up, and up. It took a while but we soon reached our desired floor. We all walked out. We walked towards a door with two toads guarding it.

???: "Aw come on. just give me a chance," said a voice from the other side.

The doors opened and Donkey Kong walked out dragging Rayman behind him. He threw him across the room. Everyone laughed, except me. Rayman got up and walked to the elevator with his head towards the ground. Donkey Kong walked back into the room. I thought only Nintendo characters could come to the Smash Universe. But, maybe there was more to this universe than what I thought.

we all walked towards the door that was still being guarded by the two toads. They let everyone, including the Pokémon in. They stopped me tho.

Toad: "Who are you?"

Link: "He's the Chosen One."

The chosen one?

Toad: "Really?" He looked at my bracelet. "Oh my." They moved out of my way. "Sorry. Continue."

What was that all about? And why did Link call me the Chosen One? I looked around. We were in some kind of training room. Several Nintendo characters were there, including Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Little Mack, Shulk, Falco, Slippy, and Peppy.

Link: "Hello, everyone. It's good to see you all here." Link and Peppy shook hands.

Peppy: "It's good to see you too. Did you meat my friends?"

Link: "Yes. They were a big help."

Peppy: "So, where is everyone else? I heard there were more of you."

Link: "That's why we're here. On our way here, Dina Blade attacked us and took Pit and Ash to the Dry Mountains."

Peppy: "The Dry Mountains? But there's a war raging there right now!"

Link: "We saw that. Why is there a war going on?"

Peppy: "Dark creature were spotted heading towards the City so we sent some men over there to try and stop them. If your friends are headed that way we have to save them before something bad happens to them. I'll get everyone ready and we can take the Great Fox over there."

Link: "Sounds good. We'll be waiting for you outside."

We all walked outside.

Me: "Link?"

Link: "Yes?"

Me: "Who is this person you wanted me to talk to about my bracelet."

Link: "Ah, yes. You are going to want to go to the Smash Hotel. They should be there. Midna can help you find them."

A team of Brawlers walked out.

Peppy: "Ready?"

Link: "Of course. Midna, can you stay here and make sure Nathan doesn't get into trouble?"

Midna: "Of course, that's my specialty." She giggled a little. I was a little creeped out.

Link and Kirby followed the other Smashers to the Great Fox leaving Midna, Lucario, Eevee, and I behind. They went inside and flew out of the city. Midna looked at the sun. It was just about to set.

Midna: "Come on, we should get to the hotel before it gets too dark."

Midna led the way to the hotel and I followed. Eevee and Lucario followed me. We soon got to the hotel and went in. There was a Pianta and a Klefki at the front desk. Midna went up to them.

Midna: "One room please."

Pianta: "Alright. Please take your key."

Klefki handed Midna a key.

Me: "Wait, We're sharing a room?"

Midna: "Of course not." She took the key from Klefki and handed it to me. "This is for your room. I already have mine." We headed to the elevator.

Pianta: "Wait." I turned around. The pianta was measuring Lucario with a tape measure. "3' 11''. Sorry buddy but no Pokémon over three feet tall are aloud outside of a pokéball."

I looked at Lucario and sighed.

Me: "Ok."

I took a pokéball out of my backpack and tossed it at Lucario. He went inside and the pokéball fell to the ground. I knelt down and picked it up.

Pianta: "Have a good night."

We didn't say anything in return. We went into the elevator and Midna pressed our desired floor number. The door soon opened and we walked out. Midna checked the doors making sure to find the right one. She stopped in front of room 626. She knocked on the door. A female voice told us to come in. Midna warped through the door. I opened the door and entered. There was a girl at a desk fixing a blaster. She had black hair that was up in a ponytail. I noticed that her right hand was gone. She didn't pay any attention to us. It was almost like she didn't notice we had entered.

Midna: "Hey, Maia. How have you been?"

Maia: "Good." That was all she said. She set the blaster down and stretched. She looked at us. She gave me a questioned look. "Who are you?"

Midna: "This is Nathan. He has a question for you."

Maia: "I'm not in the mood." She went back to fixing her blaster.

Midna: "This is kind of important."

Maia: She put her hands on her face. "Alright, what is it?"

I took off my bracelet and put it on the desk. She looked at it and gasped.

Me: "What is it?"

Maia: "Where did you get this?"

Me: "I just found it on the side of the road one day. What's so important about it?"

Maia: "What's so important is that this is the most powerful artifact in the Smash Bros universe. Whoever is in possession of this has unlimited power."

Me: "How do you know so much about it?"

Maia: "You ask too many questions." She got up and started searching for something. I looked at Midna. She rolled her eyes. "Here it is." She walked towards me with an old scrapbook in her hand. she gave it to me. "Look through this. You should find the answers you're looking for." I looked at Eevee and gestured with my head that we were leaving. We walked towards the door but I stopped before I walked out.

Me: "Thanks."

Maia: "Just go already."

I walked out the door and shut it. I then went to my room. It was room 630 so it was easy to find. I walked in and shut the door behind me.
