Chapter 16: Your training begins now.

Maia's POV:

Maia: "Where is he?"

I kept walking back and forth across the arena wondering where Nathan could be. He was probably taking care of his stupidPokémon or decided to go back to bed. If he was late I was going to have a good long talk with him.

Midna: "Would you relax. He still has another twenty minutes to get here."

I looked at my phone. It said 9:49.

Maia: "Correction, he has nineteen minutes to get here."

The doors on the far side of the arena opened and a figure walked though them.

My POV:

I walked into the arena. Eve was right beside me. I could see Maia and Midna on the far side of the arena. there was no one else there. We both walked onto a platform that moved us towards the arena. We got off and walked towards Maia and Midna.

Maia: "About time you got here."

Me: "What are you talking about? I'm nineteen minutes early."

Midna: "Eighteen actually."

Maia: "If you were smart you would have been here at 9:30."

Me: "But I thought you wanted me here at 10:00."

Maia: "First rule of success: Always show up early."

I looked at Eve who looked back at me. She rolled her eyes.

Me: "Ok, so what are we doing here?"

Maia: "Did Midna not tell you? You have to be ready." She pushed a few buttons on her arm cannon and started walking away.

Me: "Ready for what?"

Maia didn't say anything. She turned around and raised her cannon in the air, shot two missiles at us. Me and Eve jumped out of the way just in time. They exploded when they hit the ground where we were standing.

Me: "What was that for?"

Eve: "Eevee."

Maia: "Exactly. That's what I want you to be ready for. Danger could strike at any second, and you have to be ready when it strikes."

Me: "And so you're training me by shooting missiles at me?"

Maia: "I'm not only using missiles."

She raised her cannon in the air and shot out a bomb. she grabbed it and threw it at me and Eve. Eve jumped up and caught it with her mouth and tossed it away from me. It exploded a couple inches from her face. She fell to the ground and I managed to catch her before she hit the ground.

Me: "Stop, It isn't worth it!"

Maia raised her cannon to get ready to shoot at us again. Midna grabbed her cannon and tried to lower it.

Midna: "Maia, stop!"

But Maia wasn't listening. This felt just like my dream. But before Maia could fire at us we heard a loud roar. We looked over and saw a Garchomp. Screaming at something in the sky. We looked up and saw the Great Fox headed straight towards us. There was dark smoke coming from its rear. I knew that couldn't be good. It flew a few feet away from our heads into some buildings behind us. I looked at where it came from and saw a big, green ship in the shape of a crocodile flying towards us. I knew what it was. It was the Flying Krock.
