A Smash Bros. Adventure (Old Version)

Chapter 13: Answers?

Nathan's POV:

My room looked like it was meant for royalty. It had a king sized bed, a wide screen TV, and a big bathroom. I sat on my bed and laid down. It felt so nice and warm. Eevee jumped up and got on my lap. I sat up and petted her.

I then grabbed the scrapbook and opened it. The first page was a picture of Maia and some boy. It had the words: "I am always with you -Alex" written on it. I'm guessing the boy must have been Maia's brother or something. I flipped to the next page. There was a newspaper article with the title: "Nintendo characters gone missing!" The date was faded so I couldn't read it. I flipped to the next page. There was another newspaper article. This one was titled: "Smash City in ruins!" There was a picture of Smash City in ruins. Once again I couldn't read the date. I flipped to the next page. The title read: "Heroes arise!" There was a picture of Alex from the first picture and two other kids next to him. One was male and the other was female. Once again I couldn't read the date. I flipped the page. This title read: "Peace at last!" This time I could read the date. It said: "8/22/2007". That was almost ten years ago.

I flipped the page. This time there was just a picture. But this wasn't just any picture, it was a picture of a stone. And this wasn't just any stone, it was the stone on my bracelet. I then started asking myself: Who took this picture? How did they find the stone? What's so important about the stone? I looked at my bracelet. I always thought it was just a normal bracelet, but apparently it had powers that I couldn't even think of.

I flipped to the last page. There was a drawing of four stick figures. One I thought looked like Maia. Another looked like Alex. The Super Smash Bros logo was in his hand. I was guessing it was the stone. There were two giant white hands and a big white head with red eyes behind them. I thought the two hands were Master Hand and Crazy hand but who was the head? It was all colored in with crayons. Below the picture were the words: "Thanks for the adventure! For: Alex From: Maia" In black crayon. But what did it mean?

Midna's POV:

Maia was brushing her teeth. I was laying on the bed.

Maia: "I can't believe he found the Smash Stone, and on the side of the road too!" Maia spat out some toothpaste. "Are you sure he hasn't been to the Super Smash Bros universe before?"

Midna: "I'm sure. I would know if he had been here before."

Maia: She walked out of the bathroom. "Then how does he know the names of almost every single Nintendo character?"

Midna: "I don't know. That came as a shock to me too."

Maia: She sat on the edge of the bed. "Theirs something weird about this boy. I don't know what but whatever it is I don't like."

Midna: "How can you not like him? You just met him. Just give him some time, you may find that you like him."

Maia: She looked at me. "Don't get any ideas." She put her hands on her face and rubbed her eyes. "Whatever happens, we need to protect that stone. If it falls into the wrong hands then you know who could come back."

Nathan's POV:

I looked at Eevee. She was stretching and getting ready to go to sleep. I closed the scrapbook and set it on a nearby desk. I petted Eevee.

Me: "You know, Eevee, I've been thinking of giving you a name so in case we get lost it will be easy to find you. Do you like that idea?"

Eevee: "Eevee."

Me: "Alright, but it has to be a good one. Let's see, how about Precious?" Eevee shook her head no. "No? Ok, what about Summer?" Eevee shook her head no again. "Ok, maybe Daisy?" Eevee shook her
 head no again. "Man, this is hard." I laid back on the bed. Eevee jumped on my chest.

Eevee: "Eve. Eve."

Me: "Eve?"

Eevee: "Eevee, Eve."

Me: "Eve, I like it." I picked her up. "From now on you shall be called Eve."

Eevee: "Eve." She yawned.

Me: "Ok, let's get to bed." I set her down. "We've had a long day and I could use some sleep." I yawned, turned off the light and went to bed.
