Chapter 36: Last Dream?

Nathan's POV:

I opened my eyes. I was laying down but it didn't feel like I was on a soft, comfortable bed. I sat up. I was in some kind of cave. There was a stone table in the middle of the cave. There was a box of crayons laying on it. Weird. Tree roots filled the ceiling. There was some light shining through a hole. I got up and tried to crawl through it. I was just thin enough to where I could easily squeeze through.

On the other side, the sun was shining brighter than I'd ever seen it shine before. I covered my eyes from the light with my hand. My eyes slowly started adjusting. I was standing next to a big tree. The grass was so green. The breeze was perfect. I was some ways up. I could see majestic mountains in the distance, a beautiful field full of flowers, and a calm flowing stream.

In the field I saw some kind of building. Why would a building be in the middle of nowhere? I was about to go down to check it out but a familiar voice stopped me.

Susan: "Do you know what this place is?"

I looked around for a moment to see if I could finally see her but, as usual, I didn't see her.

Me: "No... no I don't."

Susan: "Do you know why I'm showing it to you?"

Me: "No. Why?"

Susan: "Someday soon you will see this place. This is where we will meet."

Me: "Meet? You mean..."

Susan: "Yes. Destiny has decided where we shall meet. It will be at this location."

Me: "When will that be?"

Susan: "I''m not sure. I can't tell for certain. From two days to a week probably."

It became silent for a while. The only thing that could be heard was the wind.

Me: "Why are you telling me this now?"

Susan: "This could be the last time I talk to you this way. They've already gathered all but two of the requirements necessary for releasing Master Head. You have the last two items they need."

Two items? I thought they only needed the Smash Stone. What could be the second item they needed from me. And if these are the 'last' two items, how many other items were there, and what were they?

Susan: "There is nothing that can stop them from getting these items from you. Master Head will be freed. And when he is, the destruction of this universe, our universe, will begin."

Me: "No way. There has to be a way to stop it. There's always a way."

Susan: "Not always."

I didn't know what to say after that. I stood there with my teeth clenched together.

Susan: "I have to go now. I'll see you soon."

Me: "Wait!"

Susan: "Yes? What is it?"

Me: "Wh... Why did you want Eve to evolve into a Sylveon? Is there a reason for it. Can she stop this?"

Susan: "You will have to find that out for yourself." The sun started disappearing and everything started going black. "Until we meet, Nathan."

Me: "Wait!"

But it was too late everything was pitch black now I got on my knees and started sobbing. What was the second item from me they needed? What were the other ones? Was this related to my parents and Jacob's mysterious cut? What would they have that was required for freeing Master Head?

Susan: "And one more thing." She was speaking in a low voice. "Don't tell anyone about this dream."
