THIS CHAPTER EFFING SUCS AND IM DISAPPOINTED IN MYSELF FOR EVEN POSTING IT.

"Taylor?" Lucas says gently, taking a seat beside me on the couch. Ryan had to go and work, and North went to Gloria's for the evening. That leaves me stuck being babysat by Lucas.

I look towards him and knot my eyebrows. He doesn't sound right. It's almost as if there's a pain behind his voice. His eyes move about my face, and I notice the life that had recently been restored to them. After he got Coen, his life seems to have changed completely. He's completely responsible, and he shows so much love towards a child. He deserves to be happy.

"Hmm?" I hum in response. My eyes focus on him. His heart is beating out of rhythm, and his breathing is heavy.

Lucas knots his eyebrows together and opens his mouth as if he wants to say something. He silently shuts it and looks down at his hands.

"What's wrong, Lucas?" I ask, now concerned. I sit up and face him completely. He let's out a long, slow breath. Clearly, what ever he wants to say doesn't seem to want to come out.

"What's.." He trails off and sighs. "What does love feel like?" He wonders. I'm silent as I let his question sink in. It isn't a stupid question, and I know he thinks it is.

"You already know what love feels like, Lucas." I say gently. He furrows his eyebrows and thinks about it. "love, has many different definitions and ways. I don't really know how to explain it." I say softly. He let's out a slow breath. I don't seem to be any help with him.

"To me, it's being able to forgive someone no matter what they have done. It's always wanting to be around them, or at least keeping it on your mind. Like Coen for example. You two love each other. Love doesn't always have to be a relationship, but with someone you truly care about." I explain. Lucas simply nods his head in response.

He looks up at me and let's out a slow breath. "Oh." He goes silent. The television blares and I sulk in the quietness of the room. It's killing me.

"I met someone." He blurts. I snap my head towards him and furrow my eyebrows. My heart skips a beat.

"Someone as in a new friend or someone as in someone?" I ask, suddenly picking up my voice. I'm beyond excited. Lucas is a good guy and deserves someone to love
him, relationship wise.

"Someone someone." He grins. I smile widely and slap his arm in excitment. I'm acting like a little school girl gossiping over some high school drama. I get giddy inside.

"Who is he? Where is he from? Is he wolf? Can I meet him? Wait! No! When will I meet him? I can't let my best friend just date a weirdo!" I rush out different questions all at once. Lucas rolls his eyes and sets me back down on the couch.

"Relax. You act like a wild animal." He chuckles, "I was going to invite you guys over for dinner this weekend to meet him." He grins. I smile.

"Of course I will!!" I say. Lucas flinches because I'm more excited than he is. I'm sure he was jumping around right after they met.

"Is he cute?" I ask, elbowing him in the bicep. I wiggle my eyebrows for emphasis.

"You'll have to wait and see." Lucas pokes his tongue out at me. I frown in response.

"You're no fun." I grumble. He always likes to leave me in the dark until the final second. He rolls his eyes and ruffles up my hair.

I growl lowly at him, and Lucas growls back. Sometimes-most of the time- we argue like cat and dog. He's just a dog that likes to get a reaction from me.
