YOU GUYS IM GOING TO END THIS BOOK ON CHAPTER 52 and it's going to bother me so much leaving it on an uneven number but ahh, I have nothing else to add into the book and literally I've tried so hard to even get it up to this many chapters!!
"Ryan," I mumble. He turns to me and knots his eyebrows at me. Him, North, and me are on the plane waiting to get to England.
"Is it bad that I feel guilty for leaving Tegan with Lucas?" I ask. Ryan smiles and shakes his head against it.
"No. But you shouldn't feel guilty. Lucas is great company, and you're not leaving forever." He says gently. I pull my lip between my teeth.
Ryan reaches over me and hands North a piece of bubblegum. She furrows her eyebrows and looks at him as if he's insane. Usually, we won't give her any kind of gum because she ends up swallowing it.
"Chew this baby. It'll make you feel better. Don't swallow it." He ruffles up her hair and I slap his hand away. North is sitting next to the window because she said, and I quote "I want to see the clouds."
She quickly puts it in her mouth. I mentally groan when I hear her smacking it. I rub my hands over my thighs and take in a deep breath.
"What's wrong, baby?" He asks. I let out a little laugh at how worried he looks. My eyes momentarily glance to North, whose playing on my phone, then back to him.
"Nothing. I'm just anxious, I guess." I shrug my shoulders. Ryan simply smiles, leans down, presses a kiss to my mouth and nods his head in agreement.
"Me too." He replies.
"You?" I ask with a smile, "anxious?" I laugh a little. He always acts so prepared for everything. Ryan smiles and nods his head.
"Believe it or not, I still get nervous around you." He chuckles. "Even though we've got a almost two year old together."
"Yeah, and I hate chicken." I roll my eyes. Not believing him one bit.
"I really do, baby." He grins. "Especially when you're mad at me." He leans down to get close to my ear. "Sometimes I feel like I'm going to get neutered." He kisses my cheek and pulls away.
I stretch in my seat. "You need to be." I laugh a little. "Maybe you'll calm down." Ryan rolls his eyes.
"Not as long as you're around." He pokes his tongue out at me. North catches him and starts laughing out loud.
I laugh, and then settle into my seat. We're starting to go down the runway. I quickly reach for Ryan's hand and he gives me a reassuring squeeze. Then, I grab North's hand -even though she doesn't want me to- and she whines in protest. This is like a roller coaster ride to her. North is such a brave little girl.
I let her go and she carries on with playing the game on my phone. I keep hold of Ryan's hand, completely afraid of the flight in general. The last time
I rode in an airplane I was completely exhausted and slept most of the time.'You are now free to move about the plane.' The announcement was froggy but I could understand it. I unbuckle my seatbelt and let out a slow breath.
"Look mommy! We're above the clouds!" North exclaims. I look out the window and my eyes bulge. I can't believe I even looked!
My heart beat quickens at the sight. "Hey, hey, hey." Ryan puts a hand on my thigh and chuckles. "Only I should be able to make your heart beat that fast." I gulp when I realize that he's meaning it in an inappropriate way. "Do you want to switch seats?" He offers. I shake my head against the idea. Like hell I was going to stand up. I'm already uncomfortable sitting down!
He quickly kisses my cheek, spreads a blanket over the three of us and grabs a nausea pill the attendant had given everyone.
"Take this." He mumbles, placing it in my hand. I shake my head against it. Ryan knots his eyebrows in confusion.
"Not this time. I don't want to miss a single second of a happy family moment on this plane ride." I reply. Ryan gives me a soft smile and kisses my forehead.
"We won't get there until at least three in the morning, baby." Ryan warns. I roll my eyes.
"I'm not that old, Ry." I laughs a little. Ryan grins like a mad man.
"You might not be, but I am. You two ladies can drive me crazy." He chuckles. I roll my eyes and feel his lips against my nose.
"You too." I mumble back, resting my head on his shoulder and letting out a sigh. North isn't the cuddling type, so I guess Ryan'll have to do.
