Wolf's Kitten

Chapter 5

A soft beep sounded throughout the small room as a young male slept soundly on a hospital bed, with his greasy brown hair sprawled out all over the pillows as it was quite long... Though just like his pale thin body, his hair was also a bit thin as well revealing small cat-like ears on the top of his head.

He was found in nothing but a large dirty shirt that was slightly ripped up, with small shorts, and a collar that had an ID tag on it which said the name: Prize

The male was also, wrapped up as well due to the wounds that were found around his body which was pretty worrisome for the doctor who looked over him.

As the redhead that sat by the resting brunette's side, slightly glared at the collar that was around his neck until a knock sounded at the room door earning the alpha's attention before he ripped his gaze away from the accessory that was stuck around the boy's neck.

When Jimmy walked into the door while reading the so far collected that was printed out on the clipboard.

"Ok, so I've turned in everything and the results will come in with some time if you're ok with waiting for this boy's information," Jimmy says while nodding his head towards the resting Kitten who had now rolled over towards, the wolf's location while being careful to not tug on the IV drip that was in his arm. As it obviously hurt...

"Yea...I can wait... Though he, won't get taken away from us. Right?" the alpha soon asked as his sunny yellow eyes dulled a bit, signally the doctor that Kevin's wolf was genuinely concerned for the kitten.

"When we get information about the boy's parents and family, we'll figure that out later. As of now, it would be in you're best interest and comfort to let me take care of him until he's back to normal health," Jimmy said slowly while making sure not to trigger the alpha.
He was already against the thought of being separated from the kitten when Jimmy grabbed a seat and pulled it towards the alpha to sit in front of him.

"Ok, Kev- Kylub," Jimmy quickly corrected himself earning the wolf's attention "Thanks," the redhead said with a sigh before giving the doctor his full attention.

"I know he's your mate. But you can't take him away from his family and I'm sure you understand that much don't you?" the doctor says while softening his voice a bit.
Kylub sighed heavily through his nose, before leaning back into his seat as Jimmy waited for his reply when the doctor glanced toward the sleeping male for a second.

"I do..." Kylub started earning Jimmy's attention "But who knows how far away his family is? What if... What if we never see him agian? He's our mate the one who we- I have been looking for and after so long he finally shows up just to be taken away from us?" Kylub said with a deep frown on his face.
"Kylub, you know fate works in wonders right? And if this kid really is your mate then there is a definite chance of you two meeting agian, after all. He seems to like you already and he's not even conscious yet," Jimmy says jokingly.

Only for the wolf gave him a look that said Shut up or I'll kill you, as the doctor raised his hands up in defense "Ok, too far, my bad," Jimmy says with a nervous chuckle.

Kylub sighed and then turned his attention back to the sleeping kitten whose cheek rested on the alpha's hand, kinda using it as a pillow, and hadn't moved from that spot since...Making the redhead's heart swell with love, but there was also a bit of anger due to the feeling of that damn collar around his neck, as once more the piece of leather bothered him...

They needed to get that thing OFF...

The next day soon came around.

When Jimmy walked into the room needing to check up on his newest patient, looking up from his clipboard, the doctor saw Kylub? Kevin? Sitting by the brunette's bedside, but that wasn't the only thing that caught his attention as he closed the door behind himself.
