Days later, it was now New Year's Eve

Kevin and Alex were in the kitchen together as the alpha was making New Year's dinner for the guests they were expecting to show up at second now.

As Alex watched Kevin prep the meal when the kitten tilted his head "Fluffy?" the brunette spoke up as the redhead hummed, his ear flicking slightly in the younger male's direction "Can I help?" the brunette questioned.
When the alpha stopped what he was doing and looked at the kitten who looked at him with big curious eyes...

Those eyes...

He thought about it for a bit as he turned his focus to the wall behind the kitten "Sure..." he finally answered after a while, making the neko happy. As Alex got out of his seat and bounced over to the alpha, to see what task he could do.

When Kevin's ears pointed forward, when he heard a vehicle being parked out front on his lawn drawing his attention outside, as he grew quiet until he heard the sound of keys followed by a familiar pattern of footsteps so he relaxed.
Before he turned back to finding something Alex could do to help him out in the kitchen as his house began to fill with happy chatter, letting him know exactly who was there.

"Welcome," Alex raised his voice as his tail flicked around lazily when a wooden spoon appeared in his line of vision "You can stir the batter," the alpha said casually.

Causing the kitten to smile as he took the spoon, bouncing with joy once more as the alpha slightly pushed a bowl of batter towards the brunette so Alex could start stirring when Mrs. Gonzalez walked into the kitchen with her husband followed right behind her, both carrying food and snacks with them.
"You can place what you brought on the table," Kevin said as he focused on cutting up the vegetables, "Gracias Hijo," the eagle said as she smiled while placing the desserts down with the help of her husband.

Matthew and Jimmy stayed out of the way, knowing how Kevin was when the duel-haired male's parents left the kitchen to retrieve the rest of the items left in the vehicle outside then moments later, the couple joined the two in the living room.

"We've finished getting the deserts and food out," Mrs. Gonzalez said pleased while removing her winter coat, hat, and gloves, before helping her husband do the same as his white wings with specks of brown here and there came out of hiding and slightly stretched out a bit.
"No, no, sweetheart, you can't do that in here," she said while helping him tuck his wings back in as her wings twitched slightly.

"Alright, let's put the car behind the house and bring the bags inside," Jimmy says while getting up from the couch as Matthew gives a thumbs up while getting off the couch as well.

.

Sometime later, the party finally started as everyone was enjoying their time together, or well almost, everyone...

As they each happily chatted about the year, though Mr. Gonzalez, couldn't fully properly follow the conversation so he would just...Pick and choose when to start up one that was easier for him to follow, while Alex and Kevin just stayed out of their joyful conversation.
Seeing as neither of them had much to say about the year anyway so they just did their own thing with the kitten happily eating his fish sticks that the redhead had specifically made for him.

But Alex did share with the others if they wanted anything as Kevin was now in the kitchen preparing more drinks for everyone.

There were three options of drinks, fruit punch, grape soda, or just water. For Mrs. Gonzalez, who didn't like sugary drinks much, and neither did Kevin, but he still had one every few or once in a while.

Though, while in the middle of preparing the drinks, his phone started ringing earning the wolf's attention as he sighed heavily and placed the pitcher down to see who was calling him, though he did have a feeling that he knew who it was.
So sighing heavily, he stared at the caller ID before finally answering it anyway, wanting to get whatever 'she' wanted over with...
