Wolf's Kitten

Chapter 26

It was now later on, when Matthew and Jimmy were both up, as Kevin and Alex had set up the coffee table so they could all eat breakfast.

"Alex, what was all that ruckus earlier?" the eagle questioned while rubbing his side, which had become a victim of the wolf's annoyance all because he wanted to lay on the floor since the couch was taken.
"The police were here earlier," Alex answered as Jimmy hummed while taking a sip of his coffee trying to wake up "Police? What were they doing here?" the doctor asked next.

When the kitten glanced over to Kevin who sighed and nodded his head slightly "Because of a blood trail leading here," the kitten answered immediately gaining both male's attention as Matthew stopped pampering his aching side, while looking over at the the kitten before him.

"Blood trail? Also, did you have to kick me?" the eagle says while needing to adjust the way he was sitting to ease the pain he was feeling.

"Suck it up. I didn't even kick you that hard," Kevin says while rolling his eyes "You know the rules for sleeping on the floor, Matthew, now about that blood trail," Jimmy says as the two hadn't processed the alpha's voice yet.

Until Alex pointed towards the taller male beside him, sitting on a pillow preferring the floor instead of the couch beside Jimmy "Kevin's home," the kitten announced with a soft smile on his face.

"Oh, welcome- WAIT?! Sorry, when did you get home?" Matthew had to quickly lower his voice and stop himself from shouting when he saw the alpha glare at him "Better question. What the hell happened to you and why was I not informed about your injuries?" Jimmy asked next as he put his mug down while examining the wolf's appearance.

Alex glanced over to the alpha who took a deep breath "I got home around 4:15 and can't we ask questions later?" Kevin asked as he turned his attention to his plate unable to look the doctor in the eye.

This time it was Matthew who sighed "Fine. But once we're done eating, you have some explaining to do," Jimmy says as the redhead could feel the doctor's glare on him.

The table soon fell into silence, with Kevin now eating at a much slower pace than the others, knowing full well that once it was over he was going be in for one hell of a questioning later, that he wished to avoid...

Once breakfast was over, Kevin took their plates and got up "Let me help," Alex said while getting up as well, gathering the empty cups and mugs before following after the alpha "Kevin," Jimmy spoke up gaining the wolf's attention.
"Don't overwork yourself this time," the doctor informs him to which Kevin sighed and continued walking to the kitchen where Alex was waiting for him.

Matthew glanced toward the annoyed man who ran a hand down his face "Sometimes, I don't know what I'm going to do with that boy..." the doctor grumbled knowing full well, that Kevin was going to drag on the time.

"Why don't we help them clean up? He and Alex can't do everything, especially with that kind of limp," Matthew says while standing up "That is if he lets us. Not to mention I need to see if his wounds were properly cleaned and wrapped, but he probably did teach Alex how to do that or he attempted to do so himself agian. And if that's the case, I'd need to figure out how deep the wounds are-"

"Jimmy. Mi Amigo, you're rambling. Let's just help with cleaning to take a load off my brother's shoulders," Matthew says in a matter-of-fact tone earning Jimmy's attention when the older male sighed before getting up.

"We might be better off, just taking him to the hospital right away after the cleanup," the doctor said while the two began helping with the cleanup process around the apartment.
