Chapter 18

It was now around 11:30 when Kevin had finally returned home, he removed his scarf while closing the door behind him with his foot when Alex ran towards him...

Or well, it looked like Alex was trying to run to him "Fluffy!" the neko called out when Kevin allowed the brunette to hug him as he lightly patted Alex's head "Welcome back brother," Matthew says glad to see the redhead was back.
Jimmy was leaning against the couch with a book on his face as he gave a lazy wave when Kevin carefully removed Alex's arms once more making the brunette whine.

"Hold on," the alpha says as he soon took off his jacket, beanie, and then his shoes, before picking the kitten up so he could walk further into the house.

"You're just in time Hijo," Mrs. Gonzalez said happily glad to see Kevin had returned without any injuries "I was planning on being in time," the alpha said as he placed his coat, scarf, and beanie on the side as he planned on throwing them in the wash later.

"Yea, but we still worried. This is the first time you've ever gone out that late," Matthew says as Kevin sits down with Alex in his lap this time.

"It's not really, I've always been going out at night this late," the alpha answered as he felt Alex press his face into his chest which he didn't mind "Kevin," Jimmy said with a slight frown "Don't worry about it," the redhead replied before reaching over to grab the remote, then turned the tv on so they would stop trying to question him.

Which luckily worked as the others quickly quieted down after a while, as it was finally time for the countdown to start which he was pretty grateful for...

Once the party was over and the New Year was here, it was finally time for bed, as Mrs. Gonzalez shooed Kevin upstairs to get ready first while she and the others cleaned up the living room for him and to make sure the alpha didn't try to come back downstairs, she sent Alex with him to keep him occupied.

As the neko had successfully gotten the redhead into his room while closing the door behind them until Kevin sighed heavily.

"Lock the door. I'll get the bath ready," the alpha said while heading towards the bathroom, Alex purred softly before locking the door like he was told to, then quickly followed after Kevin, who was now kneeling by the tub preparing their bath.
"What did you need to do at the apartment?" Alex asked while sitting on the toilet lid "to bring packages in and do some cleaning," the alpha answered while watching the water rise.

"Why?" Alex questioned "Because, 'they' won't do it, and 'they' won't be returning until June 23rd, and we can't keep things out on the doorstep or else we'll get another complaint. Or worse. Kicked out," Kevin says plainly.

"And before you ask further. I don't care if 'they' end up on the streets, I don't want them near or in 'MY' house," the wolf says before glancing towards Alex who nodded his head understanding.

Soon, Kevin turned the faucet off once the water was high enough before he then stood up "It's ready," the alpha said while turning to Alex who held his arms up to allow the redhead to undress him, then once he was done with Alex he began undressing himself, while the neko went to get into the bath, his tail flicking around lazily.

"How's the water feel?" Kevin questioned while still undressing himself as he also puts the necklace to the side so it wouldn't get wet "Good," Kit answered while relaxing in the tub until he looked over to the alpha.

Only to quickly look away, his face heating up completely, when he felt movement behind him, from Kevin getting in the tub as well.
As they began their normal routine together, only slightly different until Alex moved a little bit from where he was sitting "Can I, help you wash this time?" the kitten questioned curiously.

"...Sure, hold on a second," the alpha answered as he was washing the brunette's hair at the moment while Alex remained still "Ok," the neko replied, though he couldn't get his face to cool down.

Then, once Kevin finished washing Alex's hair the alpha lightly taps the brunette's shoulder to let him know he was done.

"Alright, go crazy," the alpha says when the two then manage to switch positions in the tub as now it was Alex who was behind the redhead.

When the kitten gasped loudly at the sight in front of him.

"Fluffy you-" 

"Don't," Kevin said with a slight snarl to his tone, cutting the kitten off which he didn't mean to do as he sighed, feeling bad for startling the brunette. 
But before he could utter out an apology he had felt something on his back as he flinched at the sudden contact.

"What the hell are you doing?" the redhead then questioned while glancing over his shoulder to see Alex slightly pulling back to look the alpha in his eyes.

"Sorry, Fluffy..." the kitten said as his ears lowered, scared but he never broke eye contact until the alpha took a breath before repeating his earlier question, but this time much nicer than he did earlier "What are you doing?".

"I was... G-giving your scars kisses..." the neko answered a bit unsure until Kevin turned his head away and leaned back slightly into the kitten who squeaked in surprise at this.

"Do you..." Alex questioned hesitantly "It's alright, just keep going," Kevin said while closing his eyes as he planned on washing the rest of his body later on as this was something else that was new to them...

Matthew lightly knocked on the room door before opening it as he peeked inside to see Kevin and Alex were already asleep together.

When he gave a soft smile and closed the door behind him giving everyone a thumbs up, Jimmy relaxed glad to know that Alex was able to get the alpha to sleep early as they silently cheered or well everyone but Mr. Gonzalez who was slow on processing this information due to him being very tired at the moment.

"Ok, Mrs. Gonzalez, why don't you get you're husband to bed? Matthew and I will finish up everything," Jimmy whispered while doing hand sign language.

"Will do," Matthew's mom said happily before taking her husband's hand and leading him to their assigned room when Jimmy took Matthew's hand as they made their way downstairs to see what was left of the party that needed to be taken care of.

Which luckily wasn't a lot as they instantly got to work on finishing up everything "Hey, looks like it's either the couch or the last bedroom. What should the plan be?" Jimmy questioned "I call dibs on the bed," the eagle said quickly while lifting up a full trash bag.

"Wow, so generous towards the doctor. You couldn't even recommend sleeping together?" Jimmy says with a raised brow "No, way," Matthew replies while scrunching up his nose a bit.

"You do know I mean sharing the bed right?" the doctor says "And my answer still stands. No. Way," the eagle says when Jimmy just shrugged his shoulders "Just let me use the showers later then," the older male says.

"Deal," Matthew replied before the two fell into silence together and continued cleaning.
