Wolf's Kitten

Chapter 12

"Ok, I was fine with the pet name," Matt says in a matter-of-fact tone with his hands together in a bit of a prayer, and a look of pure unannounced annoyance on his face. 

"Not a pet name," Kevin chimed in but the eagle held up a finger.

"Yes, it is. And not only that, he screamed it. At the top of his lungs. At 8 am...In the morning," the eagle said behind gritted teeth, as he slightly glared at Kevin, while Kit was cuddling into the alpha's chest. Appologetic about waking said duel-haired male...
"He didn't scream at the top of his lungs. His voice can't reach that high yet," Kevin said while rolling his eyes as he was currently petting the kitten's head.

When the eagle crossed his arms "If our mama could hear him from down the hall he was screaming, and yes it is a pet name," Matt said.

"Not a pet name. It's just something he decided to call me," Kevin said with a shrug "Hermano, that is called-" Matt cut himself off as he groaned and nearly face palmed "Kit, where did the name Fluffy come from?" the eagle then questioned.

Causing Kit to peek from his hiding place at the duel-haired male before correcting the way he was sitting in favor of playing with Kevin's hand "Because..." the kitten mumbled as both males looked at him "His hair is fluffy..." Kit said after a while, in which Matthew looked at Kevin as if to say I told you so.

"That's more of a nickname Matthew," the alpha says, obviously not wanting to admit it but the eagle wasn't that convinced "Kit, how old are you?" Matthew then questioned, changing the subject, since it was obvious the alpha was willing to die on that hill. 

"15," Kevin answered for the neko who softly nodded his head to confirm what the alpha said was right.

"Kevin..." Matthew started off as a warning "Matthew," Kevin replied right back with the same tone causing Kit to giggle at the two earning their attention once more "You both are so silly," the brunette said, while his tail lazily flicked around happily in which, Kevin nuzzled the kitten's hair while Matthew smiled softly.

The trio now sat together in the living room, watching Netflix together when the alpha's phone went off earning their attention, as Kevin glanced towards his phone to see who it was.

Before deciding it wasn't worth answering while just letting it ring, while Matthew leaned back into the couch lazily grooming his feathers, though Kit was wondering why he wasn't answering. 

When the alpha's phone finally stopped ringing shortly after "Why didn't you answer it Fluffy?" the neko questioned curiously.

"Wasn't important," Kevin and Matthew answered in sync like this was a normal thing to happen as the Kitten looked between the two curiously before pulling his knees up to his chest, his tail wrapped around him.

When minutes later, the alpha's phone rang again much to the two's annoyance "She's persistent today," Matthew mumbled reaching for the remote "Very," Kevin replied as he grabbed his phone finally and stared at the ID.
"Should I answer it?" the alpha soon questioned "She'll annoy us to death if you don't," Matthew answered as he paused the movie completely confusing Kit even more at their reaction.

Just as the wolf sighed, and finally answered the call "What?" the alpha answered when he felt Kit lean into him, pressing his cheek against the wolf's shoulder with curious eyes.
-'Hello Brother~'

"For- What do you want?" Kevin said as he rolled his eyes. Wanted her to cut to the chase so he could just hang up already, knowing full well, she'd call agian if he just ended the call now.
-'Damn. Not even a hello back? How rude,'

"..." Kevin felt a since of annoyance bubbling through him as he was getting slightly annoyed and so was Matthew who stopped grooming his feathers for a bit as Kit hummed slightly.

-'Alright, alright fine. Ugh, can you lend me and mom some money? We ran out,'
"No."
-'Oh, come on. We only need a few thousand, help your family out,'
"Hell no," 
-'But-'

Kevin ended the call while glaring at his phone in annoyance "Seriously, agian?" Matthew asked looking at the alpha as Kit moved to get into the alpha's lap to help him calm down.

"Yea, a few thousand this time," the redhead said with a sigh when  Matthew nearly chocked on air "A few what!?" the eagle said in shock "Matthew honey, lower you're voice Hijo," his mother soon said while walking into the living room, earning the three's attention.

"Sorry Mama..." Matthew replied while looking away ashamed, as he calmed down instantly before the woman shook her head "I'm going to be taking Papa to his doctor's appointment," she said while reaching back into the hallway to grab her husband, and pulling him closer to herself.
As the man said something in Spanish while willingly moving closer to his wife and she replied back to him in Spanish while running her fingers through his short white hair.

Then looked back toward the boys "Oh, and Kevin, you're in charge," she soon said while walking towards the front door and began putting on her winter wear as well as helping her husband out "What? No fair," Matthew says offended.

"I'm sorry Hijo, but I trust your brother more in taking good care of the house while we're gone. So please listen to him and don't cause him any trouble, ok?" she says sternly before walking over to the three and kissing Matthew on the head.
"Fine..." the eagle replied with a slight pout, as she smiled and then kissed Kevin's head as well while patting Kit on the head "Thank you, now we've got to go, bye-bye," she said.

"Bye," Matthew and Kevin said in sync while Kit just gave a small wave as they watched the two adults leave the house.

"Can't believe this," the eagle grumbled while turning the movie back on "This is nothing new birdbrain, just let it go," Kevin said while glancing towards Matthew "Easy for you to say..." the eagle said as he went back to grooming his wings once he had turned the movie back on.
When Kevin struggled, turning his attention back to the movie while Kit also looked towards the TV though, he did snuggle into the alpha more purring softly.

Kevin's POV

"Our little mate is so cute! I'm so glad you've accepted him pup," I heard my wolf say as I glanced toward Kitten for a second then looked back at the movie I couldn't remember the name of.

'Yea, whatever. It's more of an if he accepts 'me' kind of thing,' 
"But you're not denying about accepting him, pup,"

I nearly rolled my eyes at Kylub's teasing before turning my attention away from the movie in favor of messing around with Kit's hair, causing him to lean into me more. 

"Cub?" 
'What, now Kylub...'

I continued to mess with Kit's hair, then glanced towards the movie. Wondering what it was now, that was on Kylub's mind it couldn't- "When can we mark him?"
