Later that night, Kevin was sitting in the dining room with Matthew and his parents as they were having a small family meeting together.

Alex was already asleep along with Jimmy who had gone to bed early. (Was forced by Kevin)

As Mrs. Gonzalez covered her mouth "Oh, you poor thing... Hijo, why didn't you tell us earlier," she said worried as Kevin glanced to the side while gently toying around with the necklace that was on his neck.

Mr. Gonzalez said something in Spanish while clenching his fist tightly in rage as his wife started speaking to him calmly while rubbing his back.

"When do you plan on just moving out? You're old enough to hermano," Matthew asked curiously when the alpha sighed heavily through his nose, while still mindlessly toying with the necklace that in a way brought him some sense of comfort.
"I'll move out when I graduate. There's just a few extra steps I need to go through..." the redhead said with a sigh as he soon left the necklace alone and then ran his fingers through his hair.

This caused the family to frown when Mrs. Gonzalez spoke up "If you need anything Kevin, you know we're always just a call away son," hearing this, the alpha gave a slow nod of his head "Thanks Ma," he answered as he then stood up from his seat with a low grunt.

"Alright, I should get to bed before Al-" the alpha's sentence was cut short as they all heard the sound of Alex's cries before Kevin sighed softly as he went around the table to Mrs. Gonzalez to give her a hug which she returned and kissed his head, while Mr. Gonzalez pats the alpha's shoulder "Night..." he then mumbles while leaving the kitchen to attend to the Kitten.

When the family looked at one another once more "Matthew," Mrs. Gonzalez soon said earning her son's attention "Yes, mama?" the teen questioned curiously.

"Please keep a close eye on your brother. I worry about his mental everything day and that one day-"

"Mama. You don't need to worry, I've been keeping a close eye on Kevin this whole time ok," the teen says cutting his mother off in the middle of what she was saying as she placed a hand over her heart.

Until his father scolded him for talking over his mother as Matthew lowered his head sheepishly "Sorry, mama," the eagle then said as he rubbed the back of his head.

When his mom laughed at him "It's ok Hijo, I know you're just as worried about Kevin as I am," she said as she waved her hand while her husband frowned deeply at this, he looked at his wife who had a soft look on her face.

Matthew's POV

I accidentally outspoke over Mama... I tried to reassure her too quickly and accidentally cut her off... That isn't how I wanted it to come out, I wanted to ease her worry and tell her that me and Kevin are ok, that we're going to be fine but...
It just seems like I've only worried her more with my quick response.

Plus let's not forget to mention how every time I think things get better it turns for the worse, plus I've noticed that Kevin's adoptees have been acting a bit too selfish and spoiled lately.

And can't help but think they're still planning something much worse to do with my brother, but they should be satisfied enough. They have people on their side painting him as an abusive sociopath, making his reputation worse.
Not to mention, behind closed doors, they're forcing him to pay for everything so he's balancing both school and a job, not to mention the...Homework...

He practically does everything for them, the cleaning, and cooking. The allowances...'Who the hell is the actual parent here? Why does he have to give them an allowance?!'
