Wolf's Kitten

Chapter 20

At the mall, Alex and the girl sat together outside a store since Kevin told them both to sit there and wait as the purple-haired teen stared blankly at the gift she was just about to previously give the alpha.

When she felt a soft poke on her arm earning her attention, she saw the kitten smiling at her "You don't look too happy," the Neko said as he placed a hand on her shoulder though she seemed more confused and... Hurt.

"Cheer up," Alex said until something soft tapped her head causing the purple-haired teen to look up to see Kevin holding a gift to her, making her eyes widen "You're always handing me things during the holidays so here," the redhead explained shortly.

As her face began to heat up "T-thank you. B-but why?" she asked "Why not. Think of it as an early birthday gift," the alpha said when she soon carefully took the gift from him.
When the alpha finally grabbed the gift she trying to give to him earlier "Happy New Year," Kevin says when Alex hopped up "Happy New Year," the kitten said enthusiastically.

To which the purple-haired girl grew shy as she hid behind her gift as the two started walking off to give her some space, leaving her alone.

"Alright, that seems to be it," Kevin says as he checks everything off on his phone while Alex nods his head in agreement "We can go home now?" the kitten questions while hugging one of the bags close to his chest.

"Yea. Are you cold?" the alpha asked as he glanced down at the neko "Mhm," Alex answered while stepping closer to the redhead for warmth.

Before Kevin picked up the brunette who quickly snuggled into him shocking the pedestrians that walked the streets, instantly causing a bit of an uproar, and more rumors to flow, but that didn't bother him.

As long as no one bothered Alex, he didn't care.

Soon after a while, the two ended up at a large house that was surrounded by a gate, when Kevin shifted everything to one arm, before taking out a keycard that instantly gave him access to the inside of the fence.

"Fluffy, where is this place?" Alex then questioned once he knew they were alone "This is Jimmy's place, he got it when I ended up living with him for a bit," the alpha answered before taking out a regular key so he could unlock the doors.

"Why'd he get this house for you?" the kitten questioned as he was put down once they were inside "Shoes. And, because I wasn't the best neighbor to live next to," Kevin answered honestly though the brunette seemed to not understand what Kevin meant.

But that's probably only because he's only seen the good part of Kevin and not the bad part yet...

When the two removed their shoes, Kevin moved Alex toward the living room "Sit here, I'll be right back," the alpha said while earning a soft nod from the kitten "Ok, Fluffy," Alex answered, to which the alpha set their bags down and left to go to Jimmy's room so he could pack the doctor a spare bag that he needed.

While in the living room, Alex played around with the plastic bag, that was in his lap, before he opened it to see a fluffy hoodie blanket that the alpha said he could get.

As a smile made its way to the kitten's face when he picked up the bag and began to hug it close to his chest again as he started purring in delight with a bust of excitement filling his veins, causing him to kick his feet and giggle, while distracted by the soft fabric in his arms.
He soon heard Kevin's voice startling him out of it as he looked towards the alpha "Feeling better," the redhead questioned with a hint of amusement in his eyes, causing the kitten to blush madly.

"A-Um," Alex then stuttered, when he received a slight chuckle from the alpha who went to the kitchen to fix them something warm to drink.

The two were now back outside, and heading toward the hospital together, as they both held each other's hands agian, which was necessary seeing as it was now lunch hour so there were more people outside searching for lunch or rushing to a lunch meeting.

As the kitten made sure to stay extremely close to the alpha, so they wouldn't end up getting separated.

Though long before they knew it, Kevin had pulled the kitten behind him, allowing Alex to snuggle into the alpha's back while purring softly.
"How are you feeling so far?" the redhead soon questioned without worrying about the large crowd that parted for him.

"Too many people," Alex answered while clinging onto the alpha tightly "We're almost to our destination," Kevin answered as he saw a small restaurant coming into view that was beside the hospital.

Taking Alex along with him, the redhead soon pulled the door open and allowed the brunette to walk in first to get out of the crowded area as he walked in after Alex, now placing a hand on the kitten's side.
"He should be here already," the redhead mumbled while moving closer to Kit when his eyes landed on the older male who was frantically waving at him with a large smile on his face.

"This way," Kevin then says as the brunette nods and starts walking with Kevin leading him from behind towards Jimmy's location.

"You guys made it," the doctor said while sitting down in his seat while Alex sat down as well "I still don't understand why, you have to wave like a lunatic," the alpha questioned as he then took off the duffle back he was wearing and handed it towards the doctor.

"So you can easily find me. I know-" 

"Yea, yea," Kevin says interrupting the doctor while taking a seat beside the curious kitten "So you know I already ordered-"

"I do," the alpha answered while leaning into his hand, causing the older male to chuckle "Ok, then how is everything going between you and Alex?" the doctor soon asked before reaching into his pocket.

When the redhead nodded his head towards the doctor allowing Alex to talk about how they're doing so far "We're doing good. We went to buy some things for home and I got a new hoodie," the kitten said with joy as he held up the bag he was cradling the entire time.

"That's nice Alex. How do you feel lately? Any lightheadedness or any form of discomfort or pain?" Jimmy questioned while sliding a note towards the redhead who took it.

"No, I've been feeling good. Fl- er Kevin has been taking good care of me," the Neko says while hugging the bag once more until a loud crash sounded startling the brunette as Kevin and Jimmy turned their attention towards a shocked waitress, as she had dropped her tray with drinks on it.

"Ma'am, are you ok?" Jimmy asked while standing up from his seat to help her as she quickly snapped out of her shock "Oh! Uh er y-yes I'm ok, thank you," she stammered while kneeling down to pick up the glass with Jimmy's help of course and another pedestrian.

"You sure? If not maybe you should sit down for a bit," the doctor says as he reaches up with his free hand to feel her head with the back of his hand causing her to blush madly.

While Kevin shook his head "You're not going to help out Kevin?" Alex then asked only for the alpha to shake his head once more while looking at the brunette who seemed worried for the waitress.
When seconds later, Jimmy sat down at the booth once the situation was taken care of and another waitress arrived to help with the cleanup.

"Sorry about that," the doctor then says but Alex only shook his head as Kevin once more sighed through his nose when the kitten soon reached over to take the alpha's hand into his "It's ok," Alex says.

"Are you sure?" Jimmy asked as he leaned back a bit though his eyes showed worry, "Yeah," the kitten answered when he felt a gentle squeeze on his hand causing the brunette to glance towards Kevin, who looked distracted with whatever was on his phone.
