Chapter 14

Kevin's POV

After the amount of chaos that took place outside in the cold, I got the two inside quickly to warm up, as they both sat in front of the fireplace.

While I made them something warm to drink for Matthew hot chocolate, and Kit warm milk.

"You're so brutal at times brother," Matthew says while wrapped up in his wings plus 2 blankets as I handed him his mug "Well, you shouldn't have challenged me," I answered before looking towards Kit who was shaking violently.
Even with the three blankets wrapped around him, as he was still trying to get warmed up as I sat beside him and handed him his drink, before pulling him onto my lap to help warm him up faster by sharing my body heat.

"That shouldn't count," Matt whined as I rolled my eyes and looked down at Kit who snuggled into me while drinking his warm milk "Just shut up already, I'll run you a bath later," I said while listening to Kit's purrs, as I adjusted the blankets around him.

"See, I told you not to let him out! You still should have said no, even with his cute ass Kitten eyes,"
'You wouldn't understand Kylub, just let it go,'
"How can I? We made a promise to Jimmy to take care of Kitten! Now look, the poor boy is shivering down to the bone!"

'For f-k sake, shut up! I'll take care of this, and it's not like I let them out for a f-king hour,'

I shook my head and sighed heavily as we then ended up sitting in silence together when I felt something warm press against my cheek, earning my attention.

"You want some?" Kit asked while I sighed softly avoiding his curious gaze "That's meant for you Kit, I'll be fine," I answered as he then went back to snuggling into me once more while I held him close.

"Pup..?"
'What now.'
"I'm sorry..."
'...Don't apologize, I know. You're worried and I am too, just. Trust me. Like you did back then...'

Third Person POV

Matthew was now bouncing with pure joy from the place where he was sitting on the couch "Today is the 23 making 2 days left until Christmas," the eagle said excitedly as Kit giggled softly, though Kevin wasn't too amused.

"Aw, come on amigo. Where's your Christmas spirit?" the eagle questioned as he looked down at the alpha who was currently sitting on the floor, leaning against the couch when Kit looked up at the redhead.

"It's there," the alpha answered half-heartedly when he felt a soft poke on his cheek earning the redhead's attention "When was you're first Christmas Fluffy?" Kit asked curiously with a soft tilt of his head, as the alpha glanced to the side.

"With Matthew, I missed a good chunk due to being at the hospital all the time," Kevin answered causing the neko to frown.

"What were you doing there?" Kit asked "I... Don't remember..." the alpha answered before putting a hand on the kitten's head as Matthew looked at the two questioning something, but he quickly shoved that train of thought to the side. 
Knowing full well it would either upset one of them or worse. Both of them...

When, the eagle felt something lightly touch his wing as he quickly tucked it in only to see Kit now holding his hand to his chest with a worried/scared look on his face.

"Oh, my bad Kit," the eagle says as he soon unticked his wing and stretched it out slightly to allow the neko to touch his feathers.

"I'm sorry," Kit said while leaning into Kevin, who slightly glared at the eagle "No, you don't need to apologize it's my fault. Here you can touch, just be gentle," Matthew said as he laughed nervously while the alpha lightly rubbed the kitten's back, to help relax him agian.
