Dear Diary

Unfolding my darkest wings

Embedded in my mind's reelings

Surrendering to the epiphanies of the night

I can't repress the fright of my trembling

My yearnings

The beautiful, eerie quality as you say

Dreaming, confessing against the ocean spray

Welcome to our assuaging engagement

Dear diary

Eraptured by my desire

Your splendor conceived by the enigma of my face

In the palm of your hands

Lack of pleasantry in my countenance

You seek

A stealthy creature, as you hear no creak

Oh sleepyhead

Dear diary

Your eyes dare to close

Against the will of my finger

Fighting fire of my eyes burning embers

Through the breaches of your soul

The pockets of your heart

Dare I rip away the beauty underneath

Dear Diary

Follow me where I have led

My wings will suffocate you in dusk

Acknowledging promise, just as I said
