natalie's pov

after shawn gained energy, we met his taxi outside. we got inside and he grianed softly. by the time shawn's driver got to his house, he was sound asleep with his head resting on my shoulder. not wanting to wake him, i stayed in my spot while the driver got out and took our stuff from the trunk. biting my bottom lip, i slowly moved my shoulder upwards and watched his head rise.

"baby, we're at your house," i say quietly, watching his eyes land on mine.

"oh," he let out a sigh, rubbing his eyes.

he got out first, then helped me out. i smiled at him and shut the car door. i grabbed one of his bags for him, and he took the other. we said goodbye to his driver and went towards his porch, opening the door.

his parents and aaliyah met him there, tackling him in a hug. he hugged them all back, smiling tiredly.

"we got a call from andrew, he told us that you passed out. we were so worried," karen said, kissing shawn's forehead, "sweetie."

"yeah, uhm, the nurse said that i need rest. i haven't really been sleeping much lately," shawn admits, looking slightly embarrassed, "f lt a little homesick."

"poor thing, go on upstairs and catch a couple hours of rest, okay? don't worry about your bags, we can unpack those later," karen said with a warm smile, hugging me as well, "hey, honey."

"hey," i smiled, hugging her back quickly.

shawn gave her one more tired hug, along with his dad and aaliyah, before taking me upstairs. the moment shawn laid eyes on his bed, it was like he seen a million dollars. he dropped his suitcase and grabbed my hand, pulling me towards his bed.

he laid down and i chuckled, grabbing a blanket from his closet. i approached the bed and covered him with it. sitting on the edge of the bed, i grinned kissed his forehead.

"you're not going to leave, are you?" shawn asked, shaking his head.

"i was going to, you need rest," i said, cocking my head to the side.

"i can rest with you next to me. cut me some slack here, i passed out and it's been three months since i last laid with you," he said, slightly pouting his lip.

i rolled my eyes playfully, crawling in next to him. he pulled me into his side and i smiled as he kissed the top of my head. i reached behind me and pulled out my phone, opening twitter and instantly being overwhelmed with pictures and tweets of earlier

#weloveyoushawn and #feelbettersoonshawn were both trending. i clicked on the hashtag and seen pictures and videos of earlier today.

"that's so embarrassing," shawn mumbled, laying his head on my shoulder.

i turned off my phone, "no, it's not. cathy and geoff both were talking to me, and they said you were very worked up before you went on."

shawn stiffened, "yeah, big crowd. i was nervous."

"you know that you cal tell me anything, right?"

"yeah," he nodded, "i know."

"do you have anxiety? or feel like it's something that you struggle with?" i asked, knowing if i sugar-coated it, he would dodge the question.

"natalie," shawn sighed, "i'm sorry i never told you. i found out when i was hospitalized in new york with the deviated septum."

"honey," i gasped, "that was so long ago! do your parents know?"

"yeah," shawn nodded, his head burying deeper into the crook of my neck, "i didn't want you to treat me different, or my team."

"you know that nobody wouldn't treat you different, regardless of what it is you're going through," i said.

"i know, i'm sorry," shawn said, his voice growing faint.

"never be afraid to talk to me," i said.

"i know, i missed you so much," shawn said, now laying his upper half on top of me and snaking his arms around my waist.

"i missed you too," i said, running my fingers through his hair.

"i love you," he whispered, his breaths falling shallow.

"i love you so much more," i replied as he fell asleep, his lips parted slightly.

with one more kiss pressed to his head, i to fell asleep.
