Ash's POV

Okay, you can do this, Ash.

Breathe in. Breathe out.

Breathe in. Breathe out.

"What is there to talk about?" I innocently asked Xander, batting my eyelashes at him, hoping that he would just drop the topic.

He narrowed his eyes at me. "Don't play dumb with me, Ash."

Wow, this man really is serious.

Minutes passed and none of us are talking.

What do I tell him? That I have to kill wolves every time the clock turns 10pm or else my wolf's going to go insane?

I shook my head. No, I can't tell him that. He'll think I'm crazy.

The silence was really getting on my nerves and I wish he would just say something.

Finally after about five minutes of pure silence, I realized that he was as stubborn as I am and if I want this to be over with, I just have to tell him. He is my mate after all.

I sighed loudly and looked at him. "Fine, ask away, Xander." I shrugged, as if it didn't mean anything even though it meant the whole world to me for him to find out about what I have done and what I have been doing these past years.

His gaze softened as I practically gave him the permission to ask anything he wants about what happened last night.

"What are you?" He slowly and simply said, his eyes holding so much emotion.

"I... uh... I'm a werewolf." I shrugged, not really understanding his question.

He then looked at me as if I grew two heads and then shook his head.

"Why did you kill those wolves, Ash?" He questions.

"Like I said, I needed to satisfy my wolf. And the only thing I can do that is by killing wolves in the night." I answered him slowly, each word creating some sort of pain in my chest for doing such things.

Xander probably saw me struggling in telling him my darkest secrets since he held my hand and rubbed his thumb on my hand, making small circles which made me relax a little bit.

"I realize that this is hard for you Ash. But I have to know what you are and what you are capable of because you're life is in danger." He told me, his gaze softening.

He then stood up, his hand still holding mine. "Come, let's discuss this in my office where no one can hear us."

I didn't bother removing my hand from him, needing the comfort of my mate.

We exited the kitchen and proceeded to his office.

Once we arrived, he opened the door and we went inside, me sitting on the chair in front of his desk and him leaning on the desk, watching me.

"How long have you been doing this?" He asked.

"I... uhh..." I took a deep breath, preparing myself on spilling on all my secrets to Xander.
