Ash's POV
Satisfaction swept through me at the thought of killing those wolves.
But as soon as satisfaction hit me, sadness also swept through me at the thought of me being a murderer again and killing those innocent wolves.
I can't believe I let Asprin hurt Aunt Marie Jane. I bet that her arm is now badly injured because of me.
I also can't believe Asprin dared to challenge Xander, the strongest Alpha.
But I was relieved that she listened to me when I told her to just submit to Xander and stop struggling against his hold. I guess learning the elements have helped me a little bit.
Damn it, I was so close to knowing all the elements. All there's left is air and ten o'clock just had to arrive before I could learn it, resulting to wolves being killed again.
I sighed deeply, already wanting to see my Aunt and check if she was okay.
I wasn't tired though. I really wanted to finish my training, but I guess that'll have to be postponed in the morning since I did hurt my mentor.
I'm currently walking with my mate, hand in hand, to the pack house.
I feel so grateful to have Xander as my mate. I mean he is bossy and always so serious, but he's also very understanding and caring, which makes me lucky to have him as a mate.
"Penny for your thoughts, little mate?" I heard Xander ask, squeezing my hand.
I looked up at him, meeting those blue eyes of his and just stared.
I heard him chuckle. "Take a picture. It'll last longer." He smirked down at me.
I snapped out of my thoughts and shook my head.
Dang it, I was caught staring.
I felt a blush creep on my face and just glared at him, trying not to look embarrassed.
Xander then raised his hand and caressed my cheek, grinning down at me. "I love it when you blush, Ash. It makes you look like a tomato." He said, chuckling lightly.
I removed his hand from my cheek and just glared at him. "I'm not blushing!" I told him even though we both know that I do look like a freakin' tomato right now.
Xander didn't respond though and I was grateful for that.
"So... What's your wolf's name?" He randomly asks.
"What?" I burrowed my eyebrows and looked at him.
"I said, what's your wolfs name?" He repeated his question, raising one of his eyebrows. "You deaf or something?" He chuckled.
"Oh... It's Asprin. That's my wolf's name." I told him, pushing a lock of my hair behind my ear, a sign of nervousness.
I mean okay I usually get nervous around Xander but who wouldn't? I mean, I'm basically walking beside a Greek god who happened to have a super sexy face and body, not to mention being the strongest Alpha. If you're not nervous around him, I don't know what will.
