Ash's POV
"Great job, Ash! I knew you could do it!" Aunt Marie Jane said, him and my mate jogging up towards me with triumphant smiles after me being able to perform the last element.
I grinned at them, also proud of myself for being able to master the four elements, now feeling the power from the mask even more.
"I knew you could do it." Xander hugged me and whispered in my ear, sending up chills through my spine.
I looked at his oceanic eyes, my lips can't seem to stop smiling not only from mastering the four elements but also from the short kiss we shared moments ago.
"I couldn't have done it without you." I grinned at him, feeling a blush creep unto my cheeks.
Xander chuckled and quickly kissed me on the lips, making my eyes widen and a small gasp leaving my mouth.
He held my chin with one finger and gently pushed it up, making my mouth close. "You might catch a fly." He smirked, instantly making my knees go jelly.
I gulped and instinctively touched my lips. God, his lips felt so good.
"Okay, bonding time is over. You could do that tomorrow or something."
I heard my Aunt said. I internally groaned. She just always had to ruin the moment. But then again, I don't think I can stand being next to Xander without feeling butterflies bursting through my stomach.
We broke apart from the hug, me instantly missing his warmth and I frowned, already wanting to go back to his arms.
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Since when do I like hugs?
I shook my head. I'm getting softer because of this mate bond thing.
"Okay, Aunt. What now? I've already mastered all the elements. Can I go now?" I asked my Aunt, secretly wanting to leave training and spend some time with my mate since I just realized that we haven't bonded as mates ever since.
My Aunt shook her head. "Ash, it's approximately five hours before ten pm strikes and I should warn you that tonight will literally drain you. Emotionally and physically." My Aunt said, seriousness suddenly filling the whole forest.
I gulped, fear running up through my spine at the thought of trying to fight off my inner demon in about five hours.
"I-I don't think I'm ready." I quickly replied, suddenly not feeling so confident anymore.
I mean, I am going to try to control my wolf tonight and we all know that she is as strong and as powerful as hell.
I felt Xander wrap his arm around my waist, pulling him to his side and me instantly relaxing, my muscles slowly losing its tensions.
"You're ready Ash. You are more than ready to defeat that killing machine of a wolf you have in there." Xander reassured me.
"Yes. Alpha is right. Ash, you just have to believe in yourself and we all believe in you. And besides, we'll be here the whole night, helping you." My Aunt also guaranteed me, putting her arm on my shoulder as a sign of assurance.
