Ash's POV

I felt relieved that Xander already broke up with Amanda. I really was. I just wish our sweet moment would last longer, but as usual, when something good starts to happen, bad things come.

As I look at the clock behind Xander, my eyes widened, seeing that it was almost ten 0'clock and we all know what happens at that time. My wolf is going to take over my body again and hunt for wolves and I cannot let Xander see that. Not now and not ever.

I have to get away from here. Fast.

When 10pm strucked, I could already feel the blue veins appearing on my arms and my eyes turning white.

Oh no, I can't shift in front of Xander. He can't know that I'm a murderer!

He didn't want to leave though. He's so stubborn. Can't he see that I'm doing what's best for him?

I tried fighting off my wolf, but as usual she's stronger.

I felt my body shifting to my pure white wolf with blue and red streaks.

Sh*t!

I told my wolf to jump out of the window right now and get the hell out of this place before someone sees us and thankfully she did what I told her.

I felt the windows crack, creating a loud noise as I jump out of the window, the shards of glass sticking to my fur and landing on the ground rather swiftly. I then ran and ran, pushing my four paws to go faster and to leave this place before something bad happens. Thanks to my speed, I don't think Xander could reach me.

I then decided to check if someone was chasing us and my eyes widened as I saw a huge black wolf dangerously approaching me.

Asprin! Someone's chasing us!

I know honey, we're going as fast as we can. Apparently, this wolf is an Alpha or something since he is catching up to us rather quickly.

Dread filled in me as Asprin said the word Alpha. Could it be that Xander was the one chasing us?

I pushed the thought away and told Asprin to go faster.

I didn't know where Asprin was taking me. The woods seemed unfamiliar to my liking and I'm pretty sure we're not in HillWood Downtown anymore.

I looked around and thankfully, the huge black wolf was nowhere to be seen. It probably didn't catch up with me.

I then spotted two young wolves walking along the stream to drink some water.

Suddenly, the thought of the huge black wolf chasing us vanished in my mind and I then felt excited. Excited to taste that young wolves' blood. Or in other words, to kill it.

Poor pups, this would be their last day on earth and they don't even know it.

I masked my scent for the young wolves and for the other wolves in the forest to not be able to track me down or to notice me.

I then did what I did best. I didn't run away, no way, I charged toward the pups, adrenaline pumping out throughout my body and tore their flesh part by part. My teeth snapping their neck and my white fur being drenched with their blood. The sweet metallic taste of blood lingered on my tongue and I just felt satisfied right now, as if this was what I needed the whole day.

I wasn't even panting since it was easy to kill those wolves. They were still weak, not being able to fight back.

After killing the two pups, I felt my wolf burning them and throwing them onto the stream.

I then felt my wolf rest on the grass, feeling its softness against our fur, the blood of the wolves still lingering in the air, making the night gloomy again.

I sighed. Well, there goes two innocent lives. I can't believe I killed wolves again!

I really have to find Aunt Marie Jane and ask her more about this mask and about myself on being a killer machine every night.

It was already probably midnight when I decided to go back to the pack house. I still didn't spot the same black wolf that was chasing us a while ago, which I was thankful for. I don't know what I'd do If someone catches me killing innocent wolves during the night.

~~~~~
I finally reached Xander's territory and decided to find some clothes. Packs always put spare clothes on the back of a tree to change after they shift. I then spot a pair of pants and a red t-shirt. I shifted back to my human form and put them on.
You could still smell the blood of the wolves on me so I have to take a bath as soon as possible. I again masked my scent and went to the pack house. There were wolves patrolling the area and they just nodded at me.
Xander probably told them already who I am.
Speaking of Xander, I should really tell him who I really am and what I do.
I mean, he already knows that I'm the chosen one, but he doesn't know that I actually have to kill wolves every night to satisfy my wolf.
I shivered, disgusted by my own wolf's action.
You love it anyway, Ash. We both know it. Stop denying it.
I pushed Asprin in the back of my mind. I still can't believe I just killed two innocent wolves a while ago.
I shook my head, trying to get rid of the acts I did and quickly went inside the pack house.
I reached the door and twisted it open. I went inside and it was pitch black. I guess everyone's already sleeping. Well, it is past midnight already.
I opened the lights and looked around the house. Wait, where am I going to sleep? Xander haven't told me on where I would stay for the mean time.
I could sleep on that couch inside the living room again. I thought. It was pretty comfy there.
I then proceeded to go to the living room, but not before going to the kitchen. I realized that I was really thirsty from all the running and fighting that I've done.
I went to the kitchen and got myself a cold glass of water, feeling my throat be drowned with the coolness of the water, instantly satisfying my thirst.
It noticed that it was really quiet here in Xander's pack during the night. Well, it's technically morning already since its past midnight, but whatever, you get the point.
Anyway, it was just eerily quiet, too quiet if you ask me.
I then made my way to the living room, my eyes drooping slowly, wanting to sleep already.
I finally reached the living room. I twisted the knob and pushed it open.
I opened the lights and went inside.
I let out a satisfying sigh as I felt my body land on the soft cushion of the couch, relaxing me.
I lied down on the couch, preparing myself to finally sleep when I suddenly heard someone.
"How was your time with those wolves, Ash?"
My eyes widened at the sound of the voice.
