It was Friday and I was getting bored sitting in my office. Samar was out of town, shooting. I hadn't been able to catch a hold of him since then. Whenever he had free time he would call, only for me to miss the call. He would be unreachable when I tried to call back. We had texted back and forth, but that wasn't enough. Well, most of the times the messages wouldn't even reach him, because I would mostly get unconnected responses. We had stopped that after getting fed up of that. I couldn't wait to see him.

I left early for home. I also picked up Nidhi from jiju's parents'. I gave her a bathe and dressed her up in her favourite pyjamas. D and jiju returned around six thirty.

Vihaan and Rishabh were busy with their Australia tour. I was a short tour, just for a month and they were playing one test, three ODIs and one T20 international. Liam had also gone along with them saying he had some meetings to attend there. They had all left the same day as Samar, which was the day after we left the Kapoors' in the morning.

Anya, Natasha and Niveda showed up in the evening with the kids. Manav jiju was so lost without any male company and Diya assigned him the duty of taking care of the four kids. It was fun watching him being tortured by them while we sat around and chilled. I felt bad for him and offered to help him but was stopped by the girl gang, led by his own wife.

"So ladies, I was wondering what you were doing on Sunday." Jiju said coming into the living room where we were seated, talking about random things.

"I don't know, why?"

"Just for a little payback." He said casually.

"What do you mean?" I asked while D just stared at her husband.

"I meant to my wife. Anybody interested in watching cricket? I mean, your brother and your husbands are playing." He said pointing to Niveda and then to Anya and Natasha. "We usually watch it together." He continued waving a hand between the two of us.

"Sure, I love having company while I watch. I hated it those days when Aarti hated cricket, you know it was pure torture." Natasha said.

"Don't worry, D can handle the kids while we watch, right D?" he asked turning to her.

She stood there gaping at him. She was never a big fan of cricket. Whereas cricket was the one thing over which I bonded with my brother in law.

"Remind me never to cross you again." She said.

"We'll be here by seven. Match starts at seven fifty." Natasha said.

"Great."

As promised, they arrived sharp at seven on Sunday morning. D went to prepare breakfast for all of us while we sat there and analysed the match.

"So, Nivi, how does this match feel?" I asked her as the pitch report was being presented.

"Just like your parents are up against your in laws." She said and winked.

"Don't worry, she loves her home." Anya said.

We saw Vihaan coming down with the Australian captain. The match referee accompanied them. The Australian captain tossed the coin and Vihaan called 'tails'. The referee announced it was tails. Vihaan came forward and said that they would like to bowl first.

A little while after the match started, Diya served us breakfast. At that moment, the batsman hit a six. We all turned our attention to our food, not wanting to watch the replay of the opponent's success.
