Sky City, 6:00 p.m.
Ryan landed on the building with a stumble, but this time he managed to keep his balance. As he turned around, he found himself face-to-face with the Blood Girl, still concealed in her hood.
"Sup?"
"You got my money?" She asked, "I ain't got time to waste.
"I got like ten dollars.-"
"It'll do. " She snatched the money from his hands with her tendrils,"So...Scale Boy, what can you do?"
"Uh, well...I can do this. " Ryan flicked out his palms and made a grunt, but nothing happened, " Give me a sec."
"Performance anxiety?" She chuckled.
"Well... it's not like I've been doing them on command as much, but-"
SNIP!
Claws popped out of his fingers, and she reacted with pleasant shock.
"Okay, cool. You're Claw Boy now." She clapped and nodded.
"My name's Ryan-"
"Okay, Claw Boy." She chuckled while Ryan sighed, "So first things first, we gotta work on your landings. "
"And how do you suppose we do that?"
'We race. Got an idea of where you wanna go?"
"Well... my brother's playing a basketball game right now, we could stop by that." Ryan suggested, "So, Phoenix High."
"Bet."
With that, the Blood Girl launched herself into the air with her tendrils, flying overhead.
"Wait, you didn't say go!" Ryan stuttered, leaping off the building and trying to follow her.
"I shouldn't have to!" She laughed as she dove into an alley, using her tendrils to swing off anything to propel her forward.
As Ryan chased after her, he fell from the sky, crashing into a trash bin, groaning as he fell out, the smell of garbage assaulting his senses.
"Wow, you stink! " She laughed as she swung overhead, " Haha, get it? "
She was a blur of motion, using parkour to jump off walls as she swung through the alleyways, effortlessly keeping her momentum. Ryan's movements were sloppy and brash as he tried to keep up. For a split second, he found himself in front, but his reckless leap sent him crashing through a billboard.
"Oh yeah, let's try to follow rule one...keep it on the down low." She laughed as she zipped past him,"If I win, that's an extra 20!"
"I'm gonna regret this. " Ryan groaned as he got up, shaking off the impact.

Sky City Gym, 6:10 pm
Max dominated the court, using his height to score with a dunk, sending the crowd into a frenzy. Prince watched from the sidelines, his expression dark as Coach Rivers glared at him.
"Don't look at me... you're lucky your ass is even on the bench and not at home for the stunt you pulled earlier this week." Coach Rivers said sternly.
As the game heated up, Max seemed to be on fire, scoring every point that came his way. Prince's attention was drawn to one of the members of the opposing team. The player made eye contact with Prince, and as Prince looked at their arm, he noticed a snake tattoo, slightly covered by their sleeve.
