BAM!

Dante held the scrap metal close, knocking a monster back. " These bastards just don't let up. " He gulped, feeling beads of sweat drop off his chin. A horde quickly surrounded him, forcing Dante to shoot a violent vortex of wind at them! He zoomed into the sky as one monster followed, scratching Dante's leg. Dante winced in pain, seeing his blood fall to the ground. As the droplet hit the floor, the monsters' nostrils flared up. They screeched, all starting to attack Dante more violently than before.

" Oh...so you guys like my blood then? " Dante dodged the attacks, " Then come and get a taste! "

With a roar, a winged monster flew from the crowd dashing for Dante. It slashed his back, sending Dante's blood to splash in its face. It twitched violently, preparing to bite into Dante, but the boy spun around, kicking it to the floor. " Damn, that...hurt. " Dante grimaced as he felt the blood run down his lower back. He shot a massive air pillar using one hand, knocking a group of them away. Using this chance, he darted through the air flying over the support dome as Zoe caught a glimpse of him. She quickly jumped into the air, using an ice pillar to raise herself to his level.

" Need help? " Zoe grabbed some of the materials.

" For once, yeah- " Dante groaned as more blood leaked from his back, " They're attracted to blood. "

" Ray, you heard that, right? " Zoe asked over the communicator.

" Yeah, that's good news. We need to bring them all to one spot so I can get this plan to work. " Ray was hunched over, staring at an unconscious monster as Amy stood behind him.

" And how do we know that this plan isn't a bunch of bullshit? " Dante winced.

" Because..." Ray shot a blast of electricity after the monster as its body started to twitch. Within seconds, it slowly started morphing back to its human form, " I just tested it. "

" So what do we need all the junk for? " Zoe blocked a slash from another winged monster.

" I need to build a cannon; my systems aren't powerful enough to deliver the blast. " Ray flicked his wrist, and a vial of purple liquid popped out, " I made an antidote, but it needs a large shock to work as the catalyst. "

" So you're saying-"

" I'm already working on producing more of it; you guys just need to trap every monster in the city in one place. " Ray sat down with his knees crossed, numbers running across his holographic visor.

" And get here fast. " Amy protected Ray from a slash from another monster by pinning it to the wall with a giant hand.

" I heard the plan. " Karla used a blood tendril to swing on top of the ice pillar, " They like blood, right? "

" Karla...it's too dangerous. " Dante winced.

" It's a shot. " Karla kissed Dante on the lips and looked at Zoe, " I'm ready when you are. "

Zoe shot an ice blast out of her palms, freezing a group of monsters below. Jennifer flew up to Karla as Karla covered herself in a cocoon of blood, with only her arms sticking out. 

" When I do this, I exert a lot of energy...so I'll be out for a while. " Karla's voice slowly started to get softer.

" We'll protect you. Let's move, team! " Jennifer grabbed Karla's arms, flying over the monsters.

 The scent made them twitch and gave them newfound strength.  Then, angrily they roared, bursting out of Zoe's ice as they all started to rush behind Jennifer and Karla.
