The doors of the elevator finally open and I practically run in the lobby to get outside. We still don't have a car, meaning we have to wait for a cab to take us.

I see Carla standing near the entrance and I join her, mumbling small excuses.

"What did you forget?" She asks.

"I thought I forgot my phone and spent five minutes looking for it, while it was comfortably hidden in my bag" I sigh and she laughs, shaking her head.

"Ooh Kim, what am I going to do with you?"

"Call a cab maybe?" She nods and raises her arm to call a cab. Short minutes after, the black vehicle stops in front of us and we step inside, embracing the warmness of the car.

"Gosh, it's so cold outside" she shivers and rubs her arms.

"I agree" Stupid England and its stupid weather.

We give the address to the cab driver and finally arrive in front of the Hepshire's propriety.

I've been here so many times, but I still get overwhelmed by the house. From the outside, it looks like an old mansion with vines on the side and a huge green yard, perfectly mowed. But the inside is all modern with large rooms, a technological kitchen, etc.

Y'Know like, the dream house type of mansion.

There is already a lot of people inside and we can hear the loud music playing. As soon as we step in, people start to greets us, cheer our names and within five seconds, I already have a beer in my hand.

I take a sip of my drink and I make my way inside the house. My usual spot has always been the living room with the rest of our gang. I look at my left to say something to Carla but she isn't by my side. I glance around me, looking for her blonde hair but don't see her. She must've seen some friend, I thought.

I finally walk through the crowd of sweaty people and find the black couch where all of my friends are already seated.

"Hey Kimmy, what's up?!" Nathan asks, appearing from behind a brunette and standing in front of me, blocking my way.

"Don't call me Kimmy" I answers sternly. I walk past him and sit next to Liam, who greets me with a tight hug.

Nathan Blake. The only guy who never understood that a 'one night stand' stands for only one night. He is part of the first guys I've ever slept with and he somehow thought that it meant something. I don't know what I found interesting in him that night, but it was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. At least, I was drunk and don't remember one bit of it. But he doesn't seem to forget what he calls "the best night of his life" and keeps telling everyone we meet at parties 'how great I was' weeks after it happened.

He doesn't go to London's University (hell yeah) but he's friends with many of mines and is usually invited to the same parties as I.

But man, he's such a pain in the arse.

"Still getting harassed by Nathan?" Liam asks, quickly glancing at the brunet who is, not so subtly, checking me out while talking to someone.

"Not harassed, but he still annoys me very freaking much" I roll my eyes as I take another sip of my beer. The cold liquid slightly burns my lungs at the beginning, but after all the times I've been drinking, I'm getting used to it and the pain was quickly replaced by the effects of the alcohol.

Liams chuckles and wraps his arm around Maria's shoulder. Most of the people are discussing, only Liam and I seem to have nothing to do. Carls, my usual partner in life, left me for God knows who, leaving me alone and bored while I should be having the time of my life.
