Chapter 41: Senses

Chandria's POV

"John!"

I shouted at John na nakaupo sa may bintana dito sa hotel suite ko, still I'm on a world tour, I mean we, this is my job.

"Yes?"

He turned his head and looked at me. Ugh, handsome as ever. Why?

"Have you heard any news from Philippines?"

I saw her brows meet.

"I know, I know John. It's weird. Yes! Weird. That's what I'm thinking too!"

Tumayo siya sa upuan niya at lumakad palapit sa akin.

My hands are sweating and I've been feeling unusual things, nakakakaba. Parang may maling nangyayari, hindi ako mapakali.

"Hey, calm down."

John patted my back to calm me down, but I still can't.

"Alexis."

After saying her name kinuha ko ang cellphone ko sa bulsa ko and dialed her number. I don't care if mahal ang over seas call. She is my best friend!

Nakaka-isang ring palang when someone suddenly entered the room without knocking.

And as for my response I accidentally dropped off my phone and it actually broke.

"No, this is not good."

Tiningnan ko ang basag na screen ng cellphone ko, it's still flashing Alexis' name, pero nag off din agad.

"Chandria, calm yourself down."

Pilit akong kinakalma ni John, pero meron akong masamang pakiramdam na kailangan ako ni Alexis ngayon. Noong nakaraang linggo pa ako binabagabag ng pakiramdam ko na ito.

"John something is not right. I can feel it."

I told him, I was tensed surely.

"Same with me, something is really not right."

Parang biglang nagliwanag ang mata ko sa sinabi ni John. That means it is not only me who feels it!

"I told you, meron!"

I hugged him and gave him a big smile. Pero tiningnan niya lang ako.

"Yes, meron. Ikaw. May mali sayo."

I pushed him away harshly. How dare him accused me like that!

I raised my brow on him.

"What do you mean to say John?"

Akala ko naniniwala na siya, iba naman pala iniisip niya.

"Chandria, listen. You are being paranoid. And if ever it is true that something bad happened to Alexis, she would tell you."

Lumakad ako papalapit sa kanya.

"Paranoid? I am not paranoid! I'm on my mind! Think of it, kung may nangyari nga sa kanya, how can she be able to call me?"

He looked away, is he hidding something from me?

"No, Chandria. You are out of your mind. Get a rest and relax. Lalabas muna ako."

Lumakad siya palabas ng hotel suite and now, two things bother me.

Bakit parang he is more weirder than my feelings? I mean. Hindi naman siya ganyan, I bet something is bothering him right now.

Same with me, things are bothering me right now. I'm sure with it.
