meant for great things

lily: why can't things be that simple, why can't we be those kids whose only thought on their minds is what to get each other for their anniversary.. how easy would that be to live the small town life walk into an homemade ice cream shop where we all know each others names

josh: life here is complicated, always in a rush, filled with disgusting, angry, impatient, mean people things are expensive, people won't know your name a lot of the time, but would you ever choose that over this

lily: no

josh: why? you know why. this is the place where people's dreams come true you've never seen groundbreaking talent, hard work, motivation, perseverance and that's the point things are tough here people don't know your name which makes success that much sweeter, that much more critically acclaimed, you deserve every second of the spotlight because you worked hard for it and i'm sorry to say but small town dreams aren't city dreams 

we are the hustle and bustle 

we are amidst the greatest of our times 

greatest buildings, greatest jobs, smartest schools, some of the most hardworking gyms, fast internet i mean amenities, resources name it we've got it

lily: that was really nice, until it became a visit new york advertisement

josh: hush up, all i'm saying is that you are tough you are meant for great things there is beauty in simplicity but you lil' to be quite frank are quite complicated, but i believe that's a good things so many angles and perspectives things you would never see in a small town and no disrespect to it, but the opportunities you get here are endless

you don't realize how lucky you are and talented because you are surrounded by more talent, luck, beauty

lily: i have decided that i am destined for great things and that is why my life cannot be simple if things were just given to me i'd probably never be able to advance the way i can, i wouldn't have this drive, motivation, perspective, perseverance.

it's hard, but it's worth it
