josh: don't you have an essay to write

lily: i just have to revise it

josh: your first draft is horrendous isn't it

lily: maybe

josh: why do you do that

lily: i  guess i dont see the point

josh: just because you don't like something or dont get it doesnt mean you dont have to do it

lily: well if i dont really care about it why should exert that much energy when i can pour my soul into something i love

josh: point taken, but there are many tasks you will have to complete that will not be anywhere near your liking

lily: depends on my mood

josh: that's very cancerous of you

lily: well, i guess i match my zodiac sign then

josh: but there are still things you dont care about that you do well in

lily: well i dont do that well, i just do better than some, put me against people who actually care about the matter, im screwed

josh: but you'd have some sliver of fundamental understanding

lily: the thing about passion is it drives you into new depths, you will never want to or it would take you ages to care to delve into a subject so deep so passionately

josh: what about those successful business men who hate what they do

lily: listen there are always exceptions and there are always outside factors and hell, i'm not saying that you can't get far without passion, but then what's the point, your reason matters, the way you succeed makes a difference, that's just a very instinctual thing for me, i have a moral compass about those types of things

josh: i can tell

lily: see i'm very opinionated about it becuase im passionate about it

josh: so tell me your reason?

lily: that's another story
