josh: maybe it's bc they've never experienced someone filling the void or having someone feel the same way and as a defense mechanism they try to keep it neutral as a way of using that as an excuse to not lose you, some people have never experienced that y'know
lily: how disconnected can you be to not be able to understand that if you don't want to lose someone, you try to make them feel wanted
josh: some people are just stupid
