"This is a bunch of crap." Albert groans in frustration and wraps his arm around my shoulders.
"Sush!" Sophia shuts him without breaking her intense gaze on the TV.
"Hello kids," Ellen enters in the living room and gives me a huge grin as she spots me on the couch. The thought that she saw Albert's arm around me makes my cheeks blush terribly.
She approaches to me and I instantly stand up as she wraps her arms around me.
She does the same to Sophia and Albert gives her a smile that she responds with a playful roll of eyes.
"I'm so happy to see you here, darling!" Ellen tells me and I give her a shy smile.
"Thank you!"
"Are you hungry?"
"No, I'm okay," I politely tell her and she responds with a sweet smile.
"Sophia told me you were spending the night here so I'm going to prepare you the guests room,"
"Is it okay for me to spend the night? I don't really want to bother!" I tell her and she interrupts me.
"Emily, you're more than welcomed here," She tells me and I give her a warm smile. She's so different from Albert, I don't see his curly hair nor his beautiful brown yes on her blonde traces and blue eyes.
"I'm going to prepare out dinner. If you need anything I'm on the kitchen," Ellen smiles carrying huge bags with her full of food.
"I'm going to help her," I tell Albert and he grabs my hand with a pouty face that makes my stomach flutter.
"I'll be right back," I tell him and give him a small kiss on his soft cheek when I feel his pushing my arm and pressing his lips against mine.
"Jesus, can't that wait until later tonight?" Sophia asks and I break our kiss with a shy smile.
Albert throws her a pillow and she does the same more aggressively making me giggle and run to the kitchen.
"Can I help?" I ask Emily who is cutting some vegetables like a professional cooker. "It smells really good!" I tell her and she gives me a gentile smile.
"Thank you, dear, do you like to cook?"
"Yes! I love cooking! Especially desserts.." I approach to her on the counter and she smiles. "I made a chocolate soufflé recently,"
"That's so lovely, dear, you have to teach me the recipe!
"Of course! It only takes twenty minutes.. I can make one now," I smile and she gives me a huge grin.
"That would be wonderful! Thank you! Here, use my apron," Ellen suits the apron on my waist before I can reject to use it instead of her.
"My mother used to wear that apron when I was little. I used to cook next to her and she gave me when she was getting too old to cook her own food." Ellen tells me and I give her a small comforting hug to thank her.
She smiles at me with watery eyes and provides me nuts, chocolate and eggs while I turn on the oven.
When I glance at the door Albert is standing next to the wall staring at me. He holds a genuine smile that I want to desperately feel with my lips, but I can't since his mother is right next to me. I chose to give him a sweet smile and turn to the oven to check the temperature of the soufflés.
"Is everything alright here?" Albert smiles and Ellen looks at him with a huge glow on her eyes.
"Of course it is, son! You're not cooking so everything is more than perfect and *cough* not salty at all." Ellen plays and I chuckle.
