I grab my pullover and jeans and head to his bedroom. I measure the temperature while he's carefully watching me.

"See? I told you that it was nothing!" I lift the thermometer in front of him and he makes a relieved expression.

"Now let's eat, I'm famished!" I stand up from the bed and we both go downstairs.

Albert's POV.

I'm so glad that she is not with high fever anymore. I was so fucking worried about her. I was really considering in taking her to the hospital.

We call a cab to Prescot Road. We were desperate for McDonalds.

Then I decide to walk to my favourite place in the world after her arms, Edinburgh Park.

"Thank you for the lunch." Emily says as I intertwine my hand on hers.

I can't believe that she's thanking me for paying her lunch. I grab her waist with my hands and lay her gently on the green grass.

"Did you just thank me for paying for your lunch?" I ask with humour in my tone.

"Yes?" I straddle her and start tickling her belly. She stumble in laughters with her eyes closed. I feel so happy for making her laugh. It's my favourite sound in the world.

"Please stop! I can't breathe!" She says grabbing my wrists with her hands.

"Only if you promise that you won't thank me again because of silly things!" I threat and she pleads.

"Okay, okay!" Her eyes are watery and her voice is shaky from laughing. I love seeing her this way. Happy. It lights me up and it's the only thing that makes me want to keep living for.

I feel her arms around my back while I reach down to kiss her shortly on her lips.

"Thank you for making me so happy," I hear her saying and I'm so speechless with her words. It's the best feeling in the world knowing that I make her happy. I always think that she's the one to make me happy and hearing this from her is fucking amazing.

I bent down to kiss her softly, savouring her lips.

"I love you," She whispers to my mouth and I meet her eyes.

"Say it again,"

"Why? Don't you believe me?" She asks with humour in her tone.

I'm about to kiss her and tickle her again when my phone starts ringing on my pocket.

"Who is it?"

"My mum. For the fiftieth time today." I shrug and move to kiss her again.

"You should pick up. I texted my mum saying that I was at a friend's house and that I would be gone during the weekend.."

"Well, I don't want to talk to her. I want to talk to you." Albert smiles closing the space between us.

"Albert, she's worried. I'm backing you. You know I am, but Ellen is your mum and you're her only child. You can't leave her."

"She has Sophia."

"No. Charles has Sophia."

"You'll have to talk with your mother eventually." I caress his curls with my fingers.

"I'll never tell her that I went with you to our old house. This is our place now." Albert says kissing me on my neck.

It's true though. This is our place. The exactly thing that Albert wanted. This is the only place where we can be together. A place without Alice, Andrew. A place where we can feel genuinely happy and act like a normal couple. A place that is full of good and bad memories and I'm glad that I'm here with him. That I can turn his bad memories into something new, something that includes me in his life even more.

"This park is where my father and I used to come to play basketball.." Albert says looking at the amazing view full of benches and green grass.

"He told me that this was the place when he met the love of his life,"

"Your mum?"

"I suppose so.." He shrugs and I smile.

"This park is so beautiful, is so full of life and people.."

"Yeah, I used to come here all the time, not only to play, sometimes I came here to run away from the world. I used to climb to that tree." Albert approaches to me and points to a tree between two benches.

"I loved to read on that branch. It was the only place where I could be alone and in my own world. The place where I felt safe for ten years every time my parents would fought."

"They used to fight a lot?"

"Yes. They were always fighting. I don't remember why, but I remember of hearing them talking loudly in the kitchen while I was scared seated on the staircase.." The footprints that I saw on the carpet flashes through my mind.

"Oh Albert.." I say in a lower voice. I feel so sorry for him. He was so unhappy because of his parents' problems. I wish I could take all of those bad memories away so his pain and his somnambulism could simply disappear. I'm glad that I could resolve one of his problems though.

"That's why I felt such an anger inside of me. They were always fighting and all of those fights had costed my father's death."

"You never wanted to know what was their fight about, before.. well, what happened with your dad?"

"No. I hate my childhood because of it, so I don't want to hear my mother talking about it when she was the cause of everything bad that happened in my life. I never had friends, you know? I never talked to anyone, and when people would approach to me I would always push them away. I didn't want to take nobody's shit. James knows me since I was a kid. He used to come to my house and play with me and my dad. He doesn't know half of the story though. Alice too." I cringe at her name, but my shameful jealousy is slightly torn away when I know Albert wasn't completely alone after all. Even if it saddens me because I wish he could have had me instead.

"I wish we could have met five years ago." Albert smiles and cups my cheeks interrupting my thoughts. "You're the only thing that matters to me. You're my life now." Albert kisses my forehead and I smile at him assimilating every word.

"It's six o'clock. We need to go to the supermarket and buy some things to put on the fridge for tomorrow." Albert says kissing the top of my head.

"Okay, it seems that you've gotten what you wanted." I smile.

"Yes, I'm so glad that we're together again.. Thank you for always forgiving me even with all the fucked up things that I do." Albert says pressing his lips into mine.

"I wasn't talking about that. We have our own place now."

"Yeah! See? Everything in my life that involves you is what makes everything else matters." Albert stands up and helps me to join him.

We call a cab to a supermarket downtown so we can buy just a few things for us.

As we arrive to Albert's house, I start to pack the things we bough inside the cabinets. I open the refrigerator and it's completely full. Milk, butter, ketchup, eggs, jam.. What the hell? How is this even possible if no one is living here for five years?

"Albert!" I call.

"Babe? Are you okay?" Albert runs to the kitchen with a worried expression.

"I think someone is living in here.." I say holding the used bottle of milk in the air.
