Albert intertwines his fingers with mine as he starts walking towards the cab.
"Wait!" I call. I didn't even bring my satchel, all that I have is my phone that I luckily kept in my pocket.
"What?" Albert asks with a lower voice meeting my eyes.
"Did you bring your phone with you?" We are literally running away without anything really. Any clothes, books, food, books again.
"Yes, babe," Albert slightly laughs and makes a relieved tone.
He gently squeezes my hand and I nod.
We both enter inside the cab to the nearest train station.
He catch the London Euston and it takes us two hours and a half to arrive to Liverpool Lime Street.
"We used to live in Liverpool. My father loved it there. Everything was always so quiet, so monotonous," Albert slightly smiles leaving a small kiss on the top of my head.
"And did you like it?" I ask him.
"No, I hated it. I liked the house though.." Albert caresses my arms.
"Are we going to your old house?"
"Yes.. I need to go back in time a little. I just need to feel my dad near me.. I know that I'll probably sound pathetic but something inside of me has never really believed that he died.."
"It's not pathetic at all Albert, it's perfectly normal and it's really positive for you to think like that." I look up at him and his breathing is so calm, so peaceful that is kind of tranquilizing.
"What was his name?" I say in a lower voice looking at his beautiful bright brown eyes hoping that my question won't upset him.
"Robert. I always mocked him saying spiteful things about his name and he used to make fun of mine too.." Albert says with a smile.
"I love the name Albert!" I playfully defend him.
"He never actually called me by my real name. He used to call me 'Little L' like L of 'Lion'.." Albert laughs and his cheeks are flushing.
"Lion?"
"Yes, I know it's stupid."
"No, why lion? Because of that chocolate with caramel?"
"No," Albert breaks into a huge laughter. "My dad used to say that it was because of my giant hair and when I was a baby, I had really light brown eyes so.. apparently he thought that I could actually resemble as an animal.." He laughs and I join him.
I turn my face to his chest and he pulls me closer wrapping his arms around mine.
"I would love to meet him. He seems like an amazing human being." I lay my head on his chest and he intertwines his fingers with mine.
"Thank you for being here," Albert whispers and I hug him tighter. Usually I don't lay my hands on his chest or waist, but I'm not that shy with him anymore.
I close my eyes with the warmth of his arms around me, with the sound of his heart beating against my ear and with the monotonous sound of the train, I eventually fall asleep.
"Baby, wake up," Albert says in a lower voice caressing my shoulder.
"Sorry, I fell asleep.." I remove my head from his chest rubbing my eyes with the back of my hands.
"I'm glad you did. I missed watching you sleep." Albert smiles caressing my eyelids with his thumb.
His touch is so soft and gentle that makes my stomach flutter with only a simple movement.
