Albert's POV.
I couldn't bring her with me. She had a fight with her mum because of me and she's grounded now. In a couple of months ago she would never stay away from her family during a whole weekend without calling. She was too responsible for that and now I changed her. She is forbidden to spend time with me and still, I stayed with her.
I left her a note, I just hope that she won't be mad at me. I'm only doing what it's best for her since she chose to stay with me.
Emily's POV.
I really wanted to go with him, to support him in case if he finds out anything related to his dad, but I understand that he's only doing what is best for me or what he thinks is best for me.
I take a quick shower and grab my stripped black and white sweater with my black jeans. I make a braid with my hair letting it fall on my shoulder. I grab my denim jacket and go downstairs.
"Good Morning, Emily," My mum says with a smile.
"Good Morning, mum,"
"Have a good day of school and don't forget about our talk. You're not spending time with him."
I answer with a quick nod and roll my eyes. Albert is not a bad influence for me. He never was and never will.
I walk through the doors on the hallway wondering if Albert is already in Liverpool. He said he would call me but I don't want to bother him. He's probably nervous enough without me spoiling out on him.
I just hope that he won't do anything stupid like acting violent with whoever the person who is living in his house.
"Good Morning, Em!" Sophia says breaking my thoughts.
"Good Morning, I'm so sorry for leaving you at the party and now at the dinner with your dad and Ellen! I'm a terrible friend."
"No, you're not! You're just in love with my annoying step-brother. Shit happens, I know." She gives me a wink and I giggle.
"How are the things with James?"
"It's okay.. He said he had something important to tell me.."
"Really?" James is going to tell her about his age! Finally some good news!
"Yes.. after his biology class at four P.M.." Sophia says typing on her phone.
"Are you nervous? Your fingers are shaking.."
"I don't know. When someone in a relationship says that has something to tell you probably is because they're going to break up with you." Oh My God, Is James planning to break up with Sophia?! I need to talk to him because if he's planning on doing that, I will make him tell her first about his age!
"So, do you know where Albert is?" Sophia says meeting my eyes.
"No.." This has to sound realistic.
"Um.. Ellen was so nervous this morning.. she spilt my mug of coffee two times so I assumed he was with you."
"Nope."
"Hmmm, okay.. you don't seem worried which it's strange coming from you.." Sophia is scanning my face. Oh no.
I need to think in something that will make her believe in me.. Think think think..
"He broke up with me." I finally say.
"He what?! Again?"
"Yes?" This ideia seemed pretty good to me a couple of seconds ago.
"Oh Emily, I'm so sorry.. Ellen was so hopeful that you would tell her where Albert was, he has been so terrible to his mother. I don't like Ellen, but I hear them fighting, often now. He's talking about his dad all the damn time and blaming his mother for his death on my birthday dinner? Ellen was so devastated. Then you ran after him, you texted me you two were together.."
"Yes, I was with him, but he broke up with me.." This excuse is just ridiculous. I'm ridiculous.
"Why?"
"I mentioned Alice and he was pretty upset because of Andrew as well.."
"Well, Andrew is sweet and smart and he likes his hair cut short, not a mane.." Sophia says with a smirk.
I instantly remember of the nickname that his father used to call him due to his curly hair and his bright brown eyes. 'Little L'. I love it so much!
"And Albert is tall, sweet, smart and has curly hair.." I defend my forbidden lover.
"Fine. You should really hang out with Andrew more often."
"Sophia. I'm okay this way. Please don't do anything."
"Okay, I wasn't going to anyway.." Sophia hides a smile on her lips and keeps typing on her phone.
A twist of anxiety is growing bigger and bigger on the bottom of my stomach. I just wish I could know if Albert has already arrived to Liverpool, if he found the person living in his house, if he's okay..
Albert's POV.
I need to find out who's the fucking bastard that is living on my house, if it's there it has to know my mum or my dad because I'm fucking sure that the house has never been for sale.
I want to wrap my hands around its fucking collar the moment I see the person and make him spit everything he knows about my dad and the reason why he's living on my fucking house.
This is another reason why I didn't bring Emily. I know she doesn't like when I'm violent so I would have to talk to whoever the fuck is this prick and it would take hours to rip informations out of him. A punch in the face will only take seconds.
When I get out of the taxi, I remove my phone to call Emily. I press her name on my screen. I can't hide the stupid smirk that appears on my face, when a picture of her appears on my phone screen. She has her hair spread across the mattress of my bed and she has her eyes tightly shut while she's laughing. I was tickling her and I had to take a picture of how perfect she is. She was wearing one of my t-shirts and she was so perfect. She's so beautiful.
I try to see through the window of the living room if anyone is inside.
The glass is fucking dirty so I barely can see shit. Whatever is the person who is living in here doesn't know what 'cleaning' means..
"Hey, can I help you?" I hear a female's voice behind me.
