"Hi sweetie!" I heard my Uncle Jessie's voice from the other side of the room, as he walked through the door.
I greeted him with a hug, as he made himself comfortable on the couch.
"How is mom?" I asked nervously. Now that I live with Noah, I don't see her very often.
"She's alright.. Still has to talk to that therapist every once in a while but other than that she's good."
I nodded and sat down next to him.
"How is your career going?" he asked curiously.
I smiled before shouting "amazing! I started getting an idea for new lyrics last night-"
He cut me off. "Woah, Brin I meant your ACTUAL job."
My smile faded as I remembered that I'm still just a nobody. My family likes my singing, but they don't believe that I will make it big someday. I guess since I'm not important now, I never will be.

I felt my phone vibrate three times in my pocket, and my best friend Chloe's name appear on the screen.
