Eight

My night has consisted of Netflix and pizza alone in bed.

It's pretty fucking awesome.

I have no life oops.

I heard my phone go off, and a FaceTime request from Shawn pop up on the screen.

I slid the little button, and soon saw his face appear on the screen.

"Hey Brin" he was sitting in the backseat of a car.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked.

He shifted around in his seat before looking back up at the camera.

"I just had an idea.. Feel free to say no. Would you like to make a YouTube cover with me?" He asked, before looking away nervously.

"Dude why are you being shy? Don't be shy that's ugly" I joked. "But of course I'd like to do a cover with you!"

He smiled before replying "YAY! and sorry I just feel nervous since I kinda just found you and I'm already asking you to make a cover with me. But it has only been a week and I already feel like you're a good friend."

I 100% agree with him. It's weird, usually it takes me a long time to become good friends with someone. Heck, Chloe and I didn't even like each other for the first 5 months we knew each other. And with the Dolan Twins, I was acquaintances with them for a long time before we ever got close.

I led Shawn down to the little recording room I have in my basement.

"Wow, this is really cool!" He exclaimed, walking over to the two microphones and camera set up.

"Thanks! Now what song are we gonna sing?" I asked.

He sat down in one of the chairs and began thinking about it. After about 15 seconds, he shouted "Overboard by Justin Bieber!" 

That used to be my favorite song EVER. I nodded my head excitedly, and watched as Shawn grabbed his guitar.

I made sure the camera was in position, pressed record, and sat down next to him.

"Hey guys! I'm Shawn Mendes, and this is my friend Brinley Sanders."

I gave a small wave to the camera, and Shawn glanced over at me and smiled.

"We're gonna be doing a cover of overboard by Justin Bieber."

After a few seconds, I heard the sound of Shawn strumming ring in my ears. He signaled me to start the song.

"It feels like we've been out at sea, oh, so back and forth that's how it seems. And when I wanna talk you say to me, that if it's meant to be it will be.

We finished the song, before looking at each other and smiling.

"Thank you for watching" he said into the camera before standing up and turning the camera off.

He turned and faced me. "Wow" is the only thing that he said.

"What?" I asked, slightly laughing.

"That was the best duet I've ever done with anyone. You were amazing." His eyes were wide open, almost in shock.

"Awe, thanks. So were you." I replied.

He still stood there shocked so I walked over and wrapped my arms around him.

He laughed in response, and placed his hands on my lower back.

"We make a great team." He whispered
