Once we arrived in Phoenix, Maggie and I decided to go shopping for some new outfits for the show tomorrow.

We arrived at Paradise Valley Mall shortly after 7 o'clock. We decided to come later so that there is less people, and less of a chance that we'll get mobbed.

We decided to go to Le Chateau first and see what we could find.

A woman instantly approached us and asked us if we needed help finding anything.

Usually I'd awkwardly say "no thanks, I'm just looking" but I decided to ask her for help finding a skirt.

"I have a concert tomorrow and need an outfit that's not too fancy, but also not too casual. I was thinking about wearing a skirt."

She nodded her head with a smile, before leading me to the skirts.

"There's quite a few options here. Are you looking for a solid colour or a pattern?"

Once I told her I wanted a solid colour, she held up a black skirt, a tan skirt and a gray skirt.

I picked the black short skirt, it was adorable.

Once we left Le Chateau, Maggie suggested Forever 21.

When we got there, she instantly spotted a floral sun dress that she loved.

"Should I get this?" She held it up against her.

"Yes!! It will look incredible on you." I squealed, and she thanked me.

I looked around for a shirt to go with the skirt.

"ou look at this one!" Maggie held up a white crop top.

I walked over and held it up against the skirt I just bought.

"I love it!" She announced, and I agreed.

We both bought our items, and headed for the food court.

We sat down at a table in the food court after we grabbed some Chinese food.

"Brin.. I didn't want to say anything earlier but.. Are you okay? You haven't been acting yourself recently."

I froze as soon as she said it, and stared down at my food.

"I don't wanna talk about it." I said quietly.

"Please.. You know I care about you and what's going on in your life. You can tell me anything." she looked at me sympathetically.

I nodded my head in agreement.

"Well, you know how the twins and I aren't on good terms right now?"

She nodded her head.

"It's because they have been saying negative things about you since the tour started. First it was just rumours about who you used to date, and now it's that you apparently like Shawn and are trying to take him away from me. Don't worry, I defended you. But they seem to think they're always right even though they don't know you."

She shook her head in disbelief while laughing. "Wow, they obviously don't know what they're talking about. I don't like Shawn and would never try to take him away from you." She reassured me.

"I told them that if they don't respect you, then I don't want anything to do with them."

She looked at my with a shocked expression.

"Brinley, don't ruin your friendship with two people you have known forever for someone you just met." She looked like she was panicked.

"If they don't want me around you, then I don't want to be around them."

She still looked panicked, and also worried. "I don't think we should continue being friends if they don't approve of it. You're a lot closer with them than me. I would hate to break up a life long friendship."

She began grabbing her stuff and standing up from the table.

"Maggie you wouldn't be breaking any friendship, they brought that upon themselves."

Just before walking away, she said "I'm sorry Brin, but I can't be the reason you all don't like each other. I'm so sorry. I'm gonna get an uber back to the hotel."

Once she was out of sight, a pane of so many different emotions hit me. I was frustrated, upset, angry, confused and so many other things.

I decided to call Ethan.

"Hello?"

"Maggie just dropped me because you don't approve of the friendship. I hope you're happy, I know this is what you wanted all along. I'm back to being that kid that had barely any friends. Congratulations."

I hung up and picked up my stuff, before walking towards the door to leave.

Maggie should not feel like she was the one who broke up the friendship. The twins didn't respect my decisions, and that's why we're not friends anymore. She has no reason to feel guilty.

I jumped in my car and started driving towards the hotel.

~
I finally made it back to our room, and the first thing I saw was a shirtless Shawn asleep in our bed.

I quickly dressed into my pajamas and joined him.

I rested my head on his chest, and his muscular arm wrapped around my back.

I looked up at him, and I couldn't tell if he was still sleeping or not.

"You're all I have left." I whispered, pecking his lips softly.

"You'll always have me" he whispered back, squeezing me tighter.
