Twenty Two

"THANK YOU SAN DIEGO!" I shouted into my mic, as Shawn followed with "WE LOVE YOU!"

Shawn unexpectedly ran up to me and kissed me softly, before grabbing my hand and running off stage.

"What was that for?" I laughed.

"Just so the fans know how crazy I am about you." He smiled before quickly pecking my lips again.

Since the last show when I got booed off stage, I have definitely made a comeback. Shawn and I practised our setlist even more, and made sure we had a few backup songs planned as well.

The crowd was hype tonight, that's for sure.

The whole crew ran over and congratulated us.

"You did AMAZING Brin" Ethan wrapped his arms around me tightly.

Grayson repeated his actions and said "we knew you could make a comeback. Congrats kid."

I thanked my two best friends. I'm so grateful for them.

We finally made it back to the hotel, and Shawn and I made our way to our hotel room.

"I'm gonna jump in the shower, ok babe?" I asked and Shawn plopped on the bed and closed his eyes.

"Ok, I'm gonna shower after you" he started falling asleep and I laughed.

I climbed in the shower and used my vanilla scented shampoo and matching body wash.

Once I was cleansed, I jumped out, and got dressed into black cargo shorts and a white v-neck shirt.

I brushed through my long, dark brunette hair, before quickly blow drying it. Finally, I straightened it and reapplied my makeup.

I walked out of the bathroom to see Shawn still laying in bed, and he had fallen asleep.

I walked over and laid beside him. I placed one hand on his chest and my head right beside his on the pillow.

I waited a few minutes, before slowly kissing his face everywhere.

I saw a smile start growing on his face, before his eyes popped open and he was attaching his lips to mine.

I lifted one leg over his body so that I was gently sitting on him. I leaned down close to his face, and whispered, "I wanna take you somewhere. Get ready and then we'll go."

He smirked before whispering "ok baby."

I got up so that he could shower.

Soon enough, Shawn walked out of the bathroom showered and dressed.

"So where are we going?" He asked curiously, grabbing his wallet and phone and dropping them in his pocket.

"It's a surprise, but it will be romantic." I winked, before walking out of the hotel room.

We're currently sitting in a awful smelling über with a cranky driver.

I looked over at Shawn with a disappointed look on my face.

"I'm sorry this isn't very romantic so far."

He smiled and grabbed onto my hand. "Every moment that I'm with you is romantic."

I smiled at him before I felt his lips connect to my cheek.

We pulled in front of an empty park, and began walking towards an old soccer field.

This place was suggested to me by my Uncle Jessie. I told him I wanted to find a romantic place in San Diego to take Shawn, and he said this is the simplest and one of the most romantic places. It is always empty, so we won't be disturbed by anybody.

The field was huge and there was nobody in sight. I put a blanket down right in the middle of it, and laid down. I tapped beside me to signal for him to lay down too.

There was a bright sunset spread across the sky in front of us.

"So beautiful" Shawn whispered.

"It is, isn't it? Sunsets are my favorite."

Shawn rolled onto his side and looked into my eyes.

"I was talking about you" he smiled sweetly, and reached out to grab my hand.

I felt butterflies erupt in my stomach. I leaned closer to him and attached our lips together.

After a few minutes he pulled me over so that my head was on his shoulder and his arm wrapped down and around my back.

We both stared up at the night sky, and realized the sun had completely gone down.

"I think this is my new favorite spot." He said softly, not taking his eyes off the sky.

I waited for what was about to happen. Shawn had no clue, but my Uncle Jesse told me to come on a Tuesday night for a reason.

After about 5 minutes, I saw the sky fill with fireworks. It was amazing.

His eyes lit up brighter than the fireworks.

"Oh my god!" He shouted excitedly. I felt his grasp around me tighten, and I snuggled more into his chest. I always feel so safe when I'm with him.

Once they finished, he kissed me for the hundredth time tonight.

"How'd you do this?" He smiled and looked into my eyes.

"My uncle told me about this place. There is a country club not too far from here and every Tuesday they do a firework display."

"I love you so much" he whispered against my lips before kissing me again.

"I love you more."
