Three

Saturday Morning~

I woke up bright and early, and began getting ready for the day.

I stepped into the steamy shower and washed my hair and body with coconut scented products.

When I was finished, I got dressed, blow dried my hair and straightened it.

Finally, I put on mascara, eyeliner and cover up.

I have had butterflies in my stomach all morning thinking about meeting Shawn. I've been a fan of him for three years, and could never meet him because of the money. I never thought I would be lucky enough to meet him for free!

I picked Chloe up from her house and we drove to the venue.

She's just as excited as I am. We discovered Shawn together, and I'm so happy that we get to meet him together as well.

"This is gonna be the best day of our lives" Chloe cheered.

I laughed at her excitement and agreed.

I put on stitches and we started dancing and singing along to it. This is probably one of my favourite songs of his.

This line isn't as long as I thought it would be. Other than Chloe and I, there's only about 100 other girls. I could've sworn there would be at least 500.

I stepped into the building as the line got closer to Shawn. The line extended outside a little bit, and I'm glad to finally be out of the sun.

My heart stopped when I laid eyes on him from about 30 feet away.

"Oh my god" I whispered, as Chloe smiled at me. She knows that this is a huge deal for me since literally all of my inspiration for music and singing comes from him.

Ten minutes went by, and I was next in line. Chloe has already met him and is waiting on the other side of the room for me to finish.

He was hugging the fan in front of me one last time, before she walked away, and his eyes met mine.

I saw his arms extend out, motioning for me to walk into them.

When I felt his touch, it sent a shiver down my body and the butterflies in my stomach exploded. It was a feeling I've never felt before. Something that I can't explain with words.

"Hi Shawn" I whispered, feeling extremely shy and nervous, but especially happy.

"Hi sweetheart" he replied, hugging me once again.

We turned towards the camera man and smiled.

Once he took the picture, I turned to look at Shawn again.

This is your only chance to tell him how much he means to you Brinley. Don't let it go to waste.

"Sh-Shawn, I just wanted to say thank you for giving me all the happiness in the world and inspiring me to make music and follow my dreams of becoming a singer. So many people have doubted me, but I just keep reminding myself to never give up like you taught me to. I love you so much."

Shawn was frozen in his spot, with a smile printed on his face. I can tell he wasn't expecting me to say anything like this, so it definitely took him by surprise.

I thought a lot of girls would have poured their hearts out to him, but all of the ones I've seen have just said "hi, I love you" and then left.

"Wow, that means a lot to me. Thank you." He still looked shocked.

He pulled me into a hug again, and I felt his hand rub up and down on my back.

"And wait,, you sing?" He asked excitedly. "Would you mind singing for me?"

My heart completely stopped, and I froze in my spot. I've only ever sang in front of my parents, Noah and Chloe. Now to be asked to sing in front of my idol and the rest of the girls in line? I don't know if I can do it.

"Uh- I don't know" I looked down at my feet.

"Cmon, I bet you're amazing! Please, for me?" He made a puppy dog face, and there's no way I could say no to that.

I agreed and asked him which song I should sing.

"Work From Home by Fifth Harmony?" He asked.

That being one of my favorite songs, I agreed excitedly and Shawn asked everyone to listen.

"I ain't worried 'bout nothin', I ain't wearin' na nada. I'm sittin' pretty, impatient, but I know you gotta. Put in them hours, I'mma make it harder. I'm sending pic after picture, I'mma get you fired. I know you're always on the night shift, But I can't stand these nights alone. And I don't need no explanation, 'Cause baby, you're the boss at home." I finished the beginning of the song, and looked at Shawn to signal that I was done.

All of the girls started screaming, and Shawn clapped and hugged me.

It's weird because I'm usually one of the screaming girls, but now they're screaming for me.

"That was amazing oh my god!" Shawn announced and his smile beamed.

"Thank you so much, that means everything coming from you."

As Shawn was about to say something else, I felt a rude security guard grab my arm and begin dragging me away.

"You've already exceeded your time with Shawn" He spat.

I was sad that I didn't get to say goodbye, but that was already the most amazing experience I could ask for.

While I was walking past the line of girls that listened to me sing, about 30 of them started screaming for me to come over to them.

"Hey!" I announced with a smile.

"Oh my god you have such an amazing voice! Have you ever thought of putting up a YouTube channel?" One girl asked me.

I thought about it for a second, and realized I never really have put a video up anywhere.

"I haven't, but I'm definitely going to consider it!"

Everyone asked me for my Twitter so they can stay updated for when I do make the YouTube channel, so I told them my username was @BrinleySanders.

At this point I wasn't even close to Shawn anymore, and my heart kinda felt empty. I could still see him, but knowing that I'm about to walk farther and father away from my everything hurts. Saying goodbye is horrible, but not getting to say goodbye is even worse.

I gave Shawn one last glance, before walking out of the building.
