Eighteen

Shawn and I are currently wandering around the mall. I'm looking for a new phone case, and he's looking for a new sweater.

It was hard to explain to him why Ethan and I are no longer friends. I wasn't going to tell him about the twins' prediction on Maggie. That would just start even more drama.

Grayson is upset with me now too. He thinks it's pathetic that I'm mad at Ethan for 'protecting me'. But that's not how I see it. There is nothing to protect me from.

We walked into the clothing store Volcom, and Shawn instantly spotted t-shirts that he liked.

"There's so much to choose from!" He eyed up the giant section of shirts.

He picked out four that he really liked, and asked me which one would look best.

One was a plain navy blue, the other was a plain teal colour, the third one was red and maroon and the last one was blue with black stripes.

"I think you'd look hot in all of them." I said as my eyes scanned over them.

"I would, eh?" He smirked before he walked closer to me and pushed his lips into mine.

In the corner of my eye, I saw a flash and a girl start screaming.

"Oh my god!!! Shrinley is real!! I KNEW IT!" She shouted, completely fangirling.

Just as I was gonna tell her not to show the picture to anybody, Shawn stopped me.

"Maybe it is time to tell the fans.."

I thought about it for a second. Am I ready for all the hate comments, and people telling me I'm not good enough for Shawn? Yes.

I nodded in agreement, and told the girl that she could post the picture.

We asked her for her Twitter once she tweeted it, and both retweeted the tweet to confirm it.

"I ship you guys so hard!" She said before hugging us and then leaving the store.

I'm nervous for the hate, but at the same time, it's worth it to have someone as amazing as Shawn that I can publicly call mine.

We walked into Claires and tried to find a phone case.

That's when I spotted a 'Shawn Mendes' section at the back of the store.

I walked over and jokingly held up a poster that said 'Shawn's #1 fan.'

He laughed and told me to pose for snapchat, before putting the picture on his story.

That's when I found a phone case that had his initials on it.

"This is the one I want" I laughed, before walking up to the cash and buying it.

We arrived back to our hotel in Phoenix. We were gonna sleep in the tour bus the whole time we were here, but it's only Thursday and we're staying until Sunday. It makes more sense to stay in a hotel since we'll be here for a while.

We set our shopping bags down on our bed.

I decided to open Twitter and look at the fans reactions.

I saw no negative comments so far, which is really good.
