A lot can happen in a short span of two weeks.
Fake boyfriends can become super overprotective and caring.
Untold secrets can be exchanged.
A wound can be on the process of almost healing.
Unwanted feelings can be brought up.
Habits can be established.
Everyone's work was done for the day, when Kalif arrived at Strictly Awesome without Damien nor Shavon, looking like a mess. There were bags underneath his eyes and he was extremely pale. Stubbles were poking through the pores of his face.
He was a living zombie.
Grace was exiting when she spotted him and made a complete 360 degrees turn. He broke in a full sprint after her but stopped where his line ended.
EMPLOYEES ONLY was written in red bold letters. He placed both hands on his waist, staring holes through the door.
"Whoa, buddy, what's going on here?" Lavender questioned, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"I need to talk to her. Lavender, please go get her, or I'm going in there myself."
"Okay, wait a sec." Lavender wasn't even in yet when Grace stopped her.
"No, I don't wanna talk to him. I don't care what he has to say."
"Sorry, K-"
"I heard her. Fine, I'll just have to talk to her." With that being said, he began to walk towards the door. He gave Lavender a grateful look when he realized she wasn't on the verge of stopping him.
Who was she to stop him anyhow?
Whatever the issue was between them was obviously serious and needed to be solved.
"Did you see Grace?" Rose panicked asked Lavender.
"Yeah, she's in the back room with Kalif."
Rose began bitting on her nails as sweat squeezed through her pores. "She didn't take her meds! What have I done?"
"What are you talking about?" Lavender snickered but stopped by the straight face Rose gave her. "Grace is bipolar."
"Does Kalif know?"
"Yeah, he knows that and a little too much. I gotta go."
"I know you're worried about her, and like you just said Kalif knows her. They look like they gotta clear up a lot of things. Don't disturb them."
Rose was hesitant at first, but reluctantly nodded and sat by the nearest table and continued biting her nails.
Lavender walked back into the kitchen to get Angelo's food.
There was a faint mustache that was beginning to grow causing him to look more his age.Without exchanging a word, Lavender watched him as he devoured the food. For some reason watching him ate made Lavender's heart heavy. Not enjoying the feeling, she shook her head and inhaled deeply.
"Are you okay?"
"Great!"
Way too much enthusiasm, not that much convincing.
