The fact that Taylor dumped Liam because of Lavender still bothered her. She found it extremely petty. Petty because that wasn't a valid reason to leave him.

Liam loved that girl. He still does, and that's the heartbreaking part about it.

Relationships were stupid and a waste of time, always leaving someone hurt. Love wasn't supposed to hurt but it did. Love left dozens of people heartbroken, or was it just the person who left the other heartbroken?

Lavender always compared love to fart, saying if you have to force love then it's probably shit. Maybe Liam and Taylor's relationship was shit.

Maybe, it wasn't.

Lavender expected work to be no different than the other days, but like they say; you never know tomorrow.

Grace was hovering over Lavender's neck the minute she stepped foot into the restaurant.

Grace's eyes darted to Lavender's neck then back at her face with a shocked expression. "WHOAH, Damien has the mouth of a sucking fish."

Some people were weird, but some people like Grace were out of their minds. Every time Lavender stepped back, Grace would step forward with her eyes locked on Lavender's neck.

"What're you talking about?"

Grace gave Lavender a cheeky grin. It felt weird seeing Grace behave like this. "Don't play dumb."

"Do I look like I'm playing?"

"Well, come back to me when you find out what I'm talking 'bout lover girl," Grace winked, ambling off jolly as ever.

Lavender didn't even get halfway to the kitchen when Omar stopped her. He covered his eyes, still peeking through the tiny slits between his fingers.

"Cover that thing up woman!"

"Those? What?"

Omar removed his hand from his face. "Hear, wear my jacket for today."

Lavender raised her hands up, flabbergasted as ever. "I'm not wearing that! It's hot and I'm working in the kitchen, hello!"

"Fine suit yourself, but remember I told you so."

Confusion stirred in Lavender as she tried to figure out what on earth Grace and Omar were acting weird about when Jessie shouted Lavender's name, chocking.

Lavender rushed for a glass of tap water, handing it to Jessie. "What's wrong?"

Jessie swallowed everything to the last drop. "I should be asking you that. That cutie of yours needs a stop button for his mouth."

Out of frustration she nearly pulled her hair but was stopped by the toque she had on top of her head. "What is everyone talking about?"

Stuart chuckled, checking the cheesy scones in the oven. He poked a skewer in the middle of one of the scones then ran his finger over it. He pitched his index finger and thumb together rubbing them to test if the scones were done or not. "The Alpha has officially found his mate," he commented, throwing the skewer in the garbage.

"Oh my gosh, people can you please throw a little light on this situation?"

Stuart took the freshly aromatic cheesy scones out of the oven, placing them on a wire rack to cool. After he was done he let out the laughter he was holding in, joining Jessie. They cackled like wild chickens who took cocaine until they cried.

Still Lavender stared at them in total confusion. When Jessie sobered up and noticed that Lavender was really ignorant about the situation, she decided to say something.
