"Or shall I call you Angelo now?"
Still, up to this day, Issac had the power to crawl under Damien's skin. Lavender loved hearing Damien's jersey accent slip, but hearing Issac speak was just a reminder of why he hated it.
"He was monitoring you the whole time," Liam noted through the earpods. "I'll find a way to get rid of his eyes."
"You've also brought that ornery Damien. I get to kill two birds with one stone. Oops make that three," Issac continued in satisfaction. "Tsk. I've spent a great deal searching for you, David, but looks like it was all meant to be. Every little step of your pathetic existence all leads up to now, where I get to teach you how much I hate to be disappointed. Did you seriously think that you could hide from me forever?"
Issac let out a sigh of contempt and disgust. "Your daughter is now stupidly in love with this good for nothing coward. I simply love this family reunion going on right now. It makes me want to cry."
"So, this is just a game to you? You're using us as pawns?" Angelo growled. "You killed my wife-"
Lavender's breath faltered.
"-was the reason I was not apart of my son's life and now you've kidnapped my daughter? You've got balls."
"Well, that and power."
Lavender held Damien back by the arm. "Damien, he's not your biological father. That's why he bullied you your entire life. He's punishing you for being the result of incest."
Damien shook his head, denying it. Lavender might have as well slapped him instead with how hard the truth hit him.
"Oh yes," Issac replied in a happy snarl.
"Why now?"
"The least I can do is tell you the truth before you die. Wearing a jacket on this beautiful day? What a shame. You should wear them like medals."
There was no need for him to elaborate that 'them' were Damien's scars.
"But you're still the same coward you always were. A leopard never really changes its spots, does it?"
Lavender pulled Damien back yet again, bringing him closer to her by the neck until their foreheads touch. Damien was so clouded by anger that he couldn't even look her in the eye.
"Damien."
"What kind of family was I born into?"
"Look at me."
"I don't want you seeing me like this, Lav."
"Please," she whispered, desperately gripping on his neck. "Please." Reluctantly, he brought his eyes slowly to hers.
"Don't shut me out. He's just trying to get into your head. Don't let him have that kinda control over you again."
Damien breathed out slowly, nodding his head. He stood up, standing in the direction where the voice came from.
"Jacob?"
"My flesh and blood." Issac never sounded more proud in his life.
"That's why you never bothered hurting him. My efforts to protect him were in vain?"
"Well, he was conceived the right way."
"What's your motive?"
"I hacked into the system. He can't see you guys anymore," Liam said. Angelo used this as an advantage to shoot the chain, disconnecting Lavender from the wall.
"To purify you. I killed your father slash grandfather myself. He couldn't destroy the woman I love and then freely get away with it."
And for the first time through Issac's coolness was transparency. His voice lingered with emotion.
