The next morning; Damien dropped off Lavender at work he walked her in which was surprisingly unlike him because he only dropped her off and went about his business.

One of his arms was enfolded around her shoulders and the other in his pocket. After sharing his past with Lavender, it helped her understand why he was so distant and so....him. The cruelty of his father was beyond inhuman, depriving Damien of his childhood.

Yet she thought she was closed off.

She glanced at the eye that she applied face powder around to cover his black eye.

There was a man, around their age, who stood near Strictly Awesome with a bottle of Spirytus in his hand. As Damien and Lavender passed by he began catcalling Lavender. Because he was ignored, he decided to call Lavender a whore, but she snickered sarcastically. "You should know."

Damien stopped to glare at Lavender in disbelief, scratching his cheek with his car key. He was infuriated that she caused this upon herself, and even more irritated that the name calling didn't bother her.

Then his eyes lingered to the man as he shook his head. The guy's head was bald and he had really harsh eyes but looked wealthy enough. Damien knew a rich kid when he saw one.

"And how would you know, Baldy?"

Baldy waved Damien off, giving him a tight-lipped, half toothless, big coy smile. "Why are you even interfering in this? That bitch definitely isn't complaining," the guy slurred with a shout.

Damien hated when people shouted at him; it made him feel belittled just like Issac did so he sucker punched Baldy, his arm never leaving Lavender's shoulders.

"Well, I am 'cause she's my girl."

Baldy spat out blood with a chuckle. "Your girl, maybe-but everyone bitch. That's a fact." Baldy earned another punch, falling into a garbage bin behind him. Funny thing is, his grip on the bottle of liquor never loosened.

"She's my girl so stop calling her that. Because you know her soooo well and slept with her, 'cause how else would you know that she's a slut right?" Damien raised his hands up to his head, wiggling his fingers and rolled his eyes. "-tell me if she has a distinctive mark on her body. What and where?"

Lavender squinted her eyes, knowing that Damien didn't know the answer to that either. She gripped the strap from her one shoulder bag, watching Baldy hold his free hand over his nose. "How the fuck should I know?"

"I thought so."

Damien opened the door for Lavender, but instead of going in, she stabbed him in the chest with her finger. "No vuelvas a hacer eso de nuevo. No necesito tu ayuda, Damien." (Dont ever do that again. I don't need your help.)

"English please, babe," he smirked, winking at her.

She crossed her arms across her chest, taking a step closer to Damien, and lifted her head up until their lips almost touched. His grin widened, assuming that she was going to kiss him.

"Listen to me. I don't need a prince to rescue me from the name calling. Actions have consequences and I caused this upon myself, so don't try to fix something that you can't."

As soon as those words left her mouth, she left an extremely confused Damien at the door with his jaw hung low, looking like a deer in headlights.

Your mother is gone and you're next bitch 😉 I'm warning you Lavender Summers: be on the look out.

Recieved 1:20 p.m

Lavender looked up and around. Then she read the message three more times after. Work went out in a blur there on after she got that message, the quick pace in the kitchen not allowing any time for her to think. Those words stayed with her for hours, a trillion questions running through her mind.

The most important question was that her mother died from lung cancer, so why did this person speak as if he or she killed her mother?

She shook her head at the ridiculous question. Nobody killed her mother, and that was a fact. She shoved the thought way in the back of her head, screenshooting the text and sending it to Liam.

Liam was a brain when it came to technology, so searching up details about who owned the phone would be an easy task for him.

To: 💓Lele💓

Find out where this came from. Call me ASAP.

Sent 3:17 p.m

After sending that message to Liam, she exited Strictly Awesome more than happy that her shift was over. Pulling her bag over her shoulder, she meandered through the corners in great turmoil. Silent and swift like a thief in the night, grateful for the tall brick buildings. The vibration of her phone skyrocketed her adrenaline, her eyes keenly watching her surroundings as she read the message.

I see you there pretty girly. Ready or not, here I come.

Received 3:20 p.m

Lavender looked around, but didn't see no one around except for a black van.

"Fuck, can you people be a little less obvious?"

She pretended not to see the van and continued in her hurried pace, along the buildings and in the middle of where all the merchands were. The van followed slowly. There was no way could she blend in with her chef's attire, so she snuck in the clothing store and pulled on a black M cut design dress and quickly paid the lady.

"Miss, your change."

"Keep it."

"Thank you."

There was a pack of skewers in Lavender's bag along with the chef's attire she had on, so she pushed two of them in her hair to keep her tight bun from falling out. The puma sneakers that she worked with for the main time remained on her feet.

It was one thing to tell someone that you don't need their help, but another thing to call that exact person for help. But Lavender placed her pride aside and called anyway, applying some red lipstick and jumping out the window to buy herself some time.

After the fourth ring, he answered his phone.

"Yes?" His voice echoed through her body. It was obvious he didn't look at the caller ID or else he wouldn't have answered the phone in the first place.

Right?

"Damien, uh....um..." She held her breath, expecting to hear a click followed by a dial tone.

"Lavender, what is it?" He asked two octave lower with an alarmed voice.

"I...uh...well I need your help," she said in a hurry.

"Where are you?"

"At that...um...Choose or Loose three blocks away from Strictly Awesome."

Now, she heard the click, then the dial tone.

I probably deserved that.

It took alot of gut to make that phone call, and now she wished that she hadn't. She never needed anyone's help in situations like these anyways, so it was okay if she was alone in this one.

Someone grabbed Lavender with a hard grip. "Gotcha' there, bitch!"
