The first person to speak up when Damien arrived was Kalif which wasn't usually something he'd do. That was more of Shavon's thing. Kalif was sitting on the stool with his box of pizza on the counter. His headphones, iPhone 6, and keys were also scattered around the counter. He slowly chewed on his pizza as if time casually hung on his sleeves.
"You're going to lose this game, Danger."
There were two boxes of pizza on the coffee table and an empty one on the floor. Shavon's legs were sprawled across the loveseat, swinging his legs back and forth as he shoved a slice of pizza down his throat.
"If I'm agreeing with this jackass then you know he must be telling the truth. Ever heard of that shitty saying that when you love someone you fight for them? That's exactly what you did, Damien. You're falling."
Shavon reached for another slice of pizza. "You know what, I think she drugged you. Don't you think? That must be the only reason why you're making irrational decisions and ignoring these women. Stacy and Marissa have been calling me for the past week asking when will they be able to ride Mr. Rider."
"Give them what they want. Sleep with them. It's not like they're mine."
"But-"
"No."
"You really are falling for her."
"Von, end of discussion."
Damien didn't want to talk about this right now. He doesn't even know how to love someone, so to say that he loved her was not even close. Well, of course, he was attracted to her.
Look at her!
Lavender Summers was one beautiful, unique, and intelligent young woman with a mind of her own. Her fierceness was intriguing, and her tongue was magical in more ways than one. She was non-judgmental, caring, and humble in most ways.
That doesn't sound like I'm falling.
That early morning when Damien cried on her shoulders, she proved just how understanding she was. Damien expected her to laugh at him, but she didn't, and for that he respected her. It was the first time he cried in seven years, and the feeling of getting everything off his chest was actually relieving.
Damien took one of the boxes of pizza from the coffee table and sat comfortably on the ground with his back pressed against the couch.
He opened the box of pizza only to see:
WELL, OBVIOUSLY YOU'RE READING THIS. FUCK OFF, DUDE!!!! WHAT WERE YOU EXPECTING? PIZZA? BUY YOUR OWN.
"What the fuck? Come on, guys!"
Liquids of water sprayed out of Kalif's mouth and Shavon choked on his pizza.
"That's not funny," Damien muttered, getting up to take two slices each from their pizza box.
"It was all Shavon's idea. He said that this was payback since he couldn't go over at your place whenever he pleased anymore," Kalif said in between laughs.
"Stop being immature, dickhead. You chose not to come."
Shavon scoffed. "Not with that witch around."
Damien rolled his eyes, hitting Shavon behind his head. Shavon stared daggers at Damien which he ignored, taking another of Shavon's pizza. "Now enough of me, Von. More of you. What about you?"
"What about me?"
"What about me?" Kalif mocked. "You know downright what's he's talking about. The unborn baby." He stopped. "YOUR unborn baby."
